Ayurveda

Yoga

In Ayurveda, the emphasis is put on a sattvic diet for healthy living, particularly for keeping the mind clear, joyful, and at peace. The original sattvic diet was devised for the development of higher consciousness. Sattvic foods are foods that are abundant in prana, the universal life-force that gives life to all sentient beings. A sattvic diet means not only vegetarian food, but also foods rich in prana like organic fresh fruits and vegetables. It requires avoiding canned and processed food, and those prepared with chemical fertilizers or sprays. It also means properly prepared fresh foods.

It takes time for the effects of dietary changes to influence the mind. Changing your diet may not have an impact overnight, but it can affect your mind significantly in a period of months. Manthan Yogic Village will help you start the process.

I did Yoga 2 times a day and also had 1 personal class - the Yoga teacher Konti was great and has a great way of explaining; he has inspired me to continue my practice. I also availed of the Ayurvedic Treatments and the onsite Doctor and his staff were amazing and very professional. The place itself is situated beside Morjim Beach which is lovely for a nice walk or swim. "

    "My stay at Manthan Yogic Village was perfect for peace and quiet and relaxation. The yoga classes were a highlight, the teachings were a mix of dynamic and softer flow and the teacher was lovely. Also great to have the Ayurvedic treatments onsite as that encouraged me to try this kind of treatment which was very different to what I've ever tried before. The treatments were relaxing and staff took great care. As I visited during the off season and was I think the only patron, I don't believe the village was fully serviced as there was no need but I do believe it is a simple, relaxing place, staff were amazingly attentive and helpful, really lovely. Rooms were quite nice, probably on a three star rating. If you are looking for a relaxing yoga centric break, right on the beach, this is perfect. "
