Mandala yoga retreat resort is located in Chandragiri Hills which is 2000 meters above sea level. This place is itself peace and silence with beautiful views from the yoga home, with stunning views of Kathmandu valley, the Himalayan ranges of Annapurna, and other mountains. The interesting thing is, after the 3 hours of hiking from the yoga home, you can see Mount Everest clearly.

The yoga home is clean with all amenities for your comfort; clean bed sheet and towels, heated and cool temperatures room, 24-hour free Wi-Fi, own attached western bathrooms with hot water and cold shower, toilet papers, balcony, dormitory room with 4 comfortable beds, sharing two beds, private single bed, and very helpful staff.

Typical daily schedule

  • 06:30 - 09:00 Satkarma, warm-up exercise, sun salutation, bandha, mantra, hatha & vinyasa yoga, pranayama & meditation practice.

  • 13:00 Lunch
  • 16:00-18:30pm Asana foundation, adjustment, alignments, teaching methodology of different style of Yoga.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are prepared daily and include healthy vegetarian options. The food is made from vegetables grown in the area, organic when available and prepared with nourishing ingredients. Examples of Nepali style meals are traditional dal bhat, root-vegetables and lentils curry with rice and roti, as well as plenty of green vegetables and fruits grown by the villagers, toast with honey and butter for breakfast. They also give healthy salad, soup and some western healthy vegan foods.

A yogi's diet is built around eating to nourish the body and having a healthy relationship with food. Mandala Studio Yoga & Spa supplies a yoga diet that consists of food grown naturally and harmoniously with nature and seasonable fresh vegetables and fruits.

The yogic food is all vegetarian because it simplifies the development of sattva, which is the concept of ahimsa (non-violence). The food is prepared with love, peace, gratitude, and positive intention, in order to increase and sustain prana. If you have special dietary requirements it's a good idea to communicate it to the organizer when making your reservation.

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 20% of the total price.
