Itinerary

You will arrive on Thursday afternoon in time for a welcome drink and dinner with the group. The holiday program begins on Friday morning with a gentle meditation and yoga class with Maria to awaken your body.

After breakfast, you will walk for approximately 3-4 hours in the beautiful mountains surrounding the Sòller valley, led by your local guide, Nina who will help you connect with the nature and historical landmarks around you. Later in the day you will enjoy a session of Restorative yoga guided by Maria and round up the day with a tasteful dinner in the hotels bistro restaurant.

Saturday's program is very similar to Friday's, but today you will get a bus transfer from the hotel in the morning up to the viewpoint Mirador de Ses Barques where your walk towards Sa Costera and the Cala Tuent starts. At the end of the walk, you will reach the remote and very tranquil beach of Cala Tuent where you will rest a little bit before getting picked up by a minibus and brought back to the hotel through a very scenic landscape. In the evening, Maria will lead another yoga session.

On Sunday, you will wake up a bit later and enjoy your last breakfast before its time for the final yoga and goodbye session. This time, you will do the yoga practice on the beach. Between the yoga sessions and the hikes on Friday and Saturday, you may enjoy the splendid spa treatments that the hotel has got to offer, seek the sun in the garden or on one of the terraces, or have a refreshing swim in the hotels pool or in the sea.

"Since visiting Soller in Mallorca three years ago and having been confined to the lowlands, I have been itching to explore the mountains of Mallorca. So, having been given a pass out by my wife, I set about trying to find someone who could help me scratch that itch and came upon Mallorca Hiking. After a few emails I was booked onto the 4 day GR221 linear hike and was supplied with comprehensive details about the trip. On Monday morning I met up with our group in Valdemossa. The group consisted of myself (English), a Finnish couple and a Catalan couple. It was an interesting group with linguistic challenges but everything was magnificently led and organised by our wonderful guide Nina. Thanks to her skills and character, all of us had an absolutely marvellous experience walking and an hilarious time in the evenings as well. The countryside, scenery and walking companions all helped but the success and enjoyment were mainly orchestrated by the wonderful Nina. She was a great mountain leader but clearly would be equally at ease on less strenuous walks. Simply put, If you want to experience walking of any sort in the Mallorcan countryside, I would strongly recommend that you contact Nina to be your guide."

"We recently did the Port of Andratx hike with Miguel. The scenery was beautiful and ending with wine tasting and a picnic lunch was just perfect. Miguel was very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. He even spent some extra time with us in Palma showing us some sights which was very much appreciated. Thanks again!!!"

"I just wanted to write to say again how much I enjoyed my time with you and how much I appreciated your kindness and hospitality. It was certainly one of the best holidays I have had in recent years and I felt very sad to have to return to the United Kingdom. The setting for the holiday and the house were amazing. The food was so fresh, so healthy, and so delicious. The walks were simply stunning. The countryside and the sea were so amazing and you really are great guides. It was so good having your local knowledge of history and plants on the walks. I will remember them for a long time to come."

"We have just returned from a wonderful holiday in Mallorca walking the GR-221 from start to finish. This would not have been possible without the help of Mallorca Hiking, particularly Fiona, who advised us on the route and helped us plan each day’s walk. Mallorca Hiking also transported our bags from hotel to hotel and on the sections of the path that are closed, they dropped us off at a convenient starting point for that day’s walk. We would certainly recommend the GR 221 to all keen walkers out there and Mallorca Hiking for their invaluable local knowledge and reliable baggage and transport service."
