excellent service. very friendly staff as well as the host Ploy and Casper were very hospitable and graciously shared tips on vegan meals, life philosophy , yoga etc

vegan meals were superb and 'yummilicious' and freshly prepared such that I ate more than my usual as the food was very 'palatable' to my stomach..not bloated nor oily nor over tasty feeling

yoga sessions and silent meditation walks with attentive and knowledgeable instructor Ploy

resort is located at a serene and scenic place .

    salt water pool

    huge rooms .

great for people who love nature , yoga, meditation and animals as there are dogs and cats tv which is great. sleep and wake up early

A retreat surrounded by nature, yoga and amazing food. I learnt so much from Ploy and her team - it was by far one of the best yoga retreats I’ve been on. I will absolutely be back!

The yoga retreat is a great experience with various activities in the 4 days. I understand more about yoga and the instructors adjusted my postures alignment which really helps a lot. the host and staff in the resort are really good and friendly. The food is super good and tasty! I had the best khao soi and noodle soup here!

The food here is absolutely delicious. We couldn't wait until mealtimes and the food was always beautifully presented, healthy and very tasty!

The setting is beautiful, with a saltwater pool straight out of a 5* hotel.

Everyone who works here is very friendly and goes out of their way to make your time there as enjoyable and comfortable as possible.

There are a number of cats and dogs here which are all friendly and if you like animals it's very sweet having them all around.

The yoga itself was challenging but good and Ploy is very inspiring. I'd happily come back here again and would recommend it to all of my friends.

The bamboo villa has an outdoor style bathroom, which is nice if you like the rustic experience, but if you aren't the biggest fans of bugs (and a fair amount of mosquitos) I would recommend one of the other villas which have fully indoor bathrooms. The villas are all beautiful otherwise!

A too good to be true, imaginative, and wondrous space run by a fierce and beautiful woman. The MalaDhara is a truly magical eco resort to spend time unwinding, reflecting and connecting with nature. The food is fresh and delicious and the yoga classes are expertly crafted.

Mala Dhara Eco Resort was an absolutely wonderful place for my 5 day yoga, meditation, and wellness retreat. I was so delighted with my experience-- beautiful and unique villas; amazing food full of flavors, colors and texture; a heavenly herbal steam & scrub night; going for an outdoor soak at the nearby Sippa Hot Springs; practicing yoga and meditation overlooking the rice fields; and swimming in the saltwater pool. Above all, it was the warmth and energy of the staff that stood out to me. Ploy and her team genuinely care about the guests, and you can feel the love radiating out of their presence. They do so much, yet are so at ease and humble. To embody so many of these qualities is quite rare! Thank you for taking care of me.

The only thing I would have liked was more towels. There was no towels for the pool. Also it would be nice to have bath mats!!

Had an amazing time at MalaDhara and met many cool people there - both the visitors and staff. Poly was such a warm and lovely person, a great host and talented yoga teacher and artist. Was impressed with the architecture with attention to detail, the organic food, and the natural environment.

I am so very glad I lucked out and found the place to spend my year end retreat to recharge and refresh. Cant wait to be back there. I signed up for my Yoga class and will be in better shape when I return. :)))

Lush, friendly, seriously amazing salads, and the steam room has to be tried to be believed. This place is so romantic, from swallows to water buffalo, cacao and tamarind body scrubs (we are most of ours before we managed to put it on our bodies) and genuine, vibrant staff looking after you. Add in the 'main' attraction of adobe earth ship buildings to stay and luxuriate in, with the feeling of having become family after just one night and a new healthy addiction has just begun!

My husband and I wanted a quiet weekend getaway and decided to book a two night stay (Friday - Sunday) at Mala Dhara in early December. We learned about Mala Dhara from Wild Rose yoga studio (great studio in Chiang Mai) and were excited to check out this great new place. We were not disappointed. The villa we decided to book was the rain drop villa, it was a hard choice because all the villas look so spectacular but we decided to go with the rain drop room for it's uniqueness.

The villa itself is was very comfortable. There was great wifi in the room and throughout the grounds, which was great because when we arrived on Friday afternoon we had some work to finish so we were super glad to have the strong connection to finish our work with ease.

Inside the room all the furniture and fixtures were elegantly placed and beautiful, you could tell that each this room (probably all the rooms) were meticulously put together to ensure your comfort and happiness.

I really enjoyed the masculine and feminine touches within the room, the strong wooden furniture, mixed with the soft brown romantic lighting, it was great. My favorite part was the bed, so cozy and soft, the blankets were delicious! This time of the year it's quite chilly in Chiang Mai, and at the resort as well, but inside our room we were nice and toasty.

During the day we simply hung out, enjoyed the mountain views, the great organic food, the saltwater pool (yes, we jumped in even though it was cold, we jumped in with our clothes too just cuz we wanted to get a fun couple shot). If you are an animal lover you'll also appreciate the friendly cats and dogs that roam the grounds, so cute!

On this particular weekend there was a yoga workshop that we attended that was based on dance and movement, I can't remember the exact name of it but it was fun and different. There was also a sauna party taking place that we both enjoyed alot.

You get to pick your own scrub based on your skin type. First you enter the igloo looking sauna, let the herbal- eucalyptus steam warm your body and open your pores, then you exit cover your body with your scrub, enter sauna again to allow the scrub to seep into your skin and make it succulent. Then exit rinse and repeat!

For a person like me, who is always working online and needs to truly be pulled out of the city life to reconnect with myself, my partner and the earth around me, this place is heaven. I truly loved my stay, and recommend it for others looking to get away and enjoy some great peace and quiet.

A perfect getaway not far from Chiang Mai city center. Gorgeous buildings, landscape, view, yoga sala and pool. Kind, friendly and comfortable atmosphere to help you rejuvenate and unwind. Love this place! I went with friends and had a great time swimming in the clean and crisp pool, steaming in the herbal sauna hut, staring off into the green scenery at the restaurant and walking around the rice fields to visit the buffalo. The bed was great (much softer than you usually get in Thailand) and it was soothingly quite for sleeping.

This was my second visit here, the first was for a private party a couple of weeks before and I loved it so much we booked to return!

The owner Ploy is amazing and has created the most incredible haven of adobe villas nestled in the rice paddies, complete with water buffalo, ducks, dogs and cats.

This time we stayed in the Raindrop and Hobbit villas and previously in the Mala villas; all of which are wonderful and have their own unique touches. The beds are comfortable and we had great sleep; the bathrooms are finished to a really high standard and have truly hot water (hard to find in Thailand!)

We fired up the steam sauna room - for a small additional cost - and it was totally worth it! Very cleansing and satisfying; and Ploy and her team provided snacks, water and tea alongside, plus sarongs to wear in the sauna or dry with.

The saltwater pool is a great place to just chill out and relax. And the restaurant serves delicious food; the breakfast dishes are my favourite.

We had a private yoga lesson with Ploy in the sala by the pool - also at an additional cost and again totally worth it.

A truly magical retreat only 40 minutes away from Chiang Mai city life.

Beautiful countryside scenery resort along with Kin Dee restaurant. Lovely breakfast both Thai and vegan. The second floor of Kin Dee is recommended for the best spot for the sunset dinner. Would love to go back again.
