    Oxon Hoath is privately owned and offers all the facilities you would expect of a modern venue, yet it has never been commercialized so the house retains the genuine quirky feel of a grand family home. Truly somewhere different for all kinds of events for a team-building day to a residential course, a wild party, or spectacular wedding!

    The Oxon Hoath interiors are stunning - the work of fabled architects and master craftsmen from centuries past. Four grand meeting rooms are available including the quintessentially English wood-paneled library.

    Oxon Hoath has 28 bedrooms, accommodating up to 50 people in total. Most bedrooms are twins but there are also several singles, doubles, and two family rooms sleeping three or four. Most rooms retain the original mansion proportions and have ensuite facilities. Those without have a bathroom close by. All rooms are centrally heated, simple, and comfortable.

    All classes are challenging and vibrant, emphasizing the importance of good posture and alignment. The weekend is an ideal opportunity to explore and deepen your practice, with two early morning pranayama classes, and seven hours of asana classes.

    Iyengar yoga

    Considered one of the safest and most user-friendly types of yoga, Iyengar yoga focuses on the proper alignment of the body. All teachers are trained to rigorously high standards to maintain the Iyengar care and precision. The unique method of using props and the sequencing of the poses highlights some of the reasons why Iyengar yoga is the most respected and referred styles of yoga taught worldwide.

    • Lin Craddock

      Having studied and practiced Iyengar yoga for over 30 years, Lin's passion and dedication for the subject is matched only by her knowledge and ability as a teacher. Lin has qualified as a senior Iyengar yoga teacher (senior 2) and continues her studies making regular trips to India.

    This retreat will be held in Oxon Hoath, located in Tonbridge, United Kingdom. The beautiful, historic, and quirky Oxon Hoath Country Estate is set in 73 acres of its own private landscaped grounds yet just a few minutes from Tonbridge and the M25. The place is of perfect peace and tranquility, just 45 minutes south-east of London.

    All your meals are included in the price. You will be served vegetarian home cooked food during this retreat. Fresh seasonal vegetables, hand-picked from Oxon Hoath's delightful walled garden will be part of your delicious dining experience!

    Since March 2013, Oxon Hoath has been working long and hard to restore the resplendent two-acre Georgian walled garden back to its historic purpose of providing abundant fresh fruit, flowers, herbs, and vegetables for the house and its guests.

    Massage treatments are available on request at an extra cost. Individual treatments available include aromatherapy, massage,organic and spa facials, Indian head massage, reflexology, shiatsu, energy medicine treatments, individual life coaching, and more.

    Driving direction from M25

    • At the junction of the M25 and M26 (J5), take the A21 (South) towards Sevenoaks and Hastings.
    • After about 10 miles, take the A26 towards Tonbridge.
    • Stay on the A26 through the industrial outskirts of Tonbridge following signs to Maidstone and then Hadlow.
    • As you enter Hadlow on the A26, turn sharp left into Carpenters Lane, about 150 yards past Hadlow Agricultural College on the left.
    • Stay on Carpenters Lane (bearing left at the two forks) for about a mile then turn right at the little crossroads into Oxen Hoath Road.
    • The house is signposted about 500 yards on the right, landmark by a white Tudor-style lodge cottage at the entrance to the Estate.
    • Follow the drive over two cattle grids until you see the house on your right.

    Arrival by train

    You can take a train to Tonbridge from London Bridge, Charing Cross, East Croydon, or Gatwick. There is a good taxi rank at Tonbridge station. Oxon Hoath is about five miles.
