This 100-hour yoga teacher training is available at three locations in India: Dharamshala, Goa, and Rishikesh. This training is designed for those who find the longer 200-hour training unsuitable due to time or other constraints. The 100-hour training allows students to approach their yoga training at their own pace. After the completion of this training, the student will receive a certificate.
All rooms are within 5 minutes of walking distance from the main yoga shala. Rooms have a big double bed and attached bathroom with hot shower and western toilet.
If you sign up for this training, you will take part in the first two weeks of a 200-hour training so your training will be completely the same as the 200-hour training. This will give you an option to join the second two weeks of the 200-hour training at another time or in a different location. Upon completion of both courses, you will receive a certificate of completion.
On the other hand, you might only be looking at completing the 100-hour teacher training and do not plan to pursue your training any further. In this case, you will be eligible to receive the 100-hour certificate of completion.
In either case, the carefully designed multi-style yoga training will teach you three main styles of yoga: Hatha (including traditional and therapeutic), Ashtanga Vinyasa, and Vinyasa yoga. In this 100-hour yoga course, you will receive the foundational yoga knowledge and teaching techniques. The course will develop your skills as a yoga practitioner and a yoga teacher.
Even though these courses are aimed at prospective teachers and they teach in detail how to teach, all of the knowledge learned can be applied to the individual practitioner. Therefore, Mahi Yoga recommends the 300-hour yoga teacher training for practitioners who want to deepen their practice as well as those who wish to teach.
There will be a half-day sightseeing trip around the amazing sights and temples of Dharamsala. Experience the amazing energy of the Himalayas and the long traditions of the Buddhist temples of the area.
When Mahi was 11, his family members, being all yogis, taught him yoga. The whole family belonged to the yoga meditation and pranayama, therefore focusing on the spiritual development of a human. For example, Mahi's father was a disciple of Sri Ramana Maharishi's student. However, not only family members influenced Mahi on his way! He spent a lot of time learning Hatha yoga, Bhakti yoga, meditation, and Karma yoga with monks and swamis.
Amy’s love for yoga developed because of her mother's influence when she enrolled her on a yoga course in her teen years. This special seed of yoga grew to fruition as her practice grew, and she found a sense of inner peace and self-confidence that she felt compelled to share. Her classes combine the meditative qualities of movement with introspective moments that allow students to access their own inner guide and find the yoga healing aspect.
