Mahala Wall is the Mahala Yoga founder and Chief Executive Officer, yoga teacher, massage and alternative therapist, retreat host, and mother. With over 14 years of various yoga, holistic therapy, and hosting experience under her belt, you can expect a complete overhaul of your body and mind in Mahala's tune-up yoga classes and on her retreats, which are suitable for any level of fitness.
Dirish comes from a creative arts background and injects his creativity into his classes. His work has been described as inspiring, rejuvenating, mindful, and dynamic. He is a teacher in Vinyasa flow, Yin and Yang, Shakti dance, and he also leads gong meditations. He continues to expand his practice and teaching skills with regular expeditions to Los Angeles and India. Dirish's teaching focuses on the breath and alignment, bringing you to a state of inner peace and still point in your practice.
Amorgos is the easternmost island of the Greek Cyclades group with around 1,900 friendly inhabitants who are mainly spread out between two small port towns at either end of the island and a few picturesque mountain villages in between.
There's no airport, meaning the island if only accessible by ferry, and the fact that it's naturally covered in thriving, medicinal wild flowers, herbs, and plants all surrounded by crystal clear water which makes it the perfect location for a deeply-relaxing escape.

The Ambrosia Gallery Restaurant is where you will have your Greek and / or continental style breakfast with organic ingredients from the hotel garden and your plentiful vegetarian and vegan dinners. It boasts uninterrupted and enchanting views out over the bay to the mountains of Aegialis, making meal times a but of a magical experience, a secret haven of peace and tranquility.
Group excursions of ancient Amorgos are available and can be arranged and booked with the hotel reception team. It is also possible to hire a car to explore the island. Fancy a dip in the tempting turquiose waters? The sandy beaches are only a stone's throw away from the hotel.

Transfer from and to this airport is available upon request. You can fly-in to either Athens International Airport (ATH) or Naxos Island National Airport (JNX). Arriving into Athens is the lower priced of the two possible routes and offers you the opportunity to, maybe, arrange a bonus stop-over in Athens and explore the city this way.
Naxos is the higher priced of the two possible routes, reducing ferry travel time to three and a half hours, ideal if you are not up for the adventure of getting to Amorgos from Athens, but it is quite tricky to get the Amorgos-Naxos ferry and Naxos flights to sync up.
First and foremost, you will need to be at the port of Piraeus, Athens, no later than 16:30, on Tuesday, April 5 - the ferry departs for Amorgos at 17:30, and if you miss the boat you will have to wait 24 hours for the next one. Your transfer coach will collect you when you disembark on Amorgos.

"I first met Mahala nine months ago. I only did two classes with her before I decided to go on a yoga retreat to India with her! We had a fantastic time in Goa last autumn with a group of her yoga students and I have also since been to the wonderful island of Amorgos on another retreat with Mahala.
