You are invited to this rejuvenating retreat at the fabulous earth-friendly resort of Aquatica in Goa, where you can learn and practice amazing yoga lessons that will be the best thing you take back from your holiday. In this retreat, you will be able to experience an eclectic mix of various yoga styles and Shakti dance, blended beautifully with meditation and pranayama.
The cottages in Aquatica are a cluster of chikoo trees, plantains, and palms. A lotus pond sits divinely in the center. Each cottage has modern bathrooms with a transparent sky roof and air-conditioners that lie nonchalantly with raw wood accessories and stone floors. Accommodation is on a twin share basis. If you are traveling alone, you will be paired with another traveler in the group of the same gender and based on availability.
During this retreat, you will be taught an eclectic mix of Dynamic, Ashtanga, Yin, and Kundalini yoga, along with amazing Shakti dance, blended beautifully with meditation and pranayama by two fantastic teachers.
Mahala Wall is the Mahala Yoga founder and Chief Executive Officer, yoga teacher, massage and alternative therapist, retreat host, and mother. With over 14 years of various yoga, holistic therapy, and hosting experience under her belt, you can expect a complete overhaul of your body and mind in Mahala's tune-up yoga classes and on her retreats, which are suitable for any level of fitness.
Dirish comes from a creative arts background and injects his creativity into his classes. His work has been described as inspiring, rejuvenating, mindful, and dynamic. He is a teacher in Vinyasa flow, Yin and Yang, Shakti dance, and he also leads gong meditations. He continues to expand his practice and teaching skills with regular expeditions to Los Angeles and India. Dirish's teaching focuses on the breath and alignment, bringing you to a state of inner peace and still point in your practice.
Situated in the north of Goa, Ashvem, India, Aquatica Earth Friendly Resort is 40 minutes away from the Thivim railway station and 90 minutes away from Goa International Airport (GOI). The Ashvem beach boasts of fine sand, clear blue water, and a secluded atmosphere among other things. Best of all, it is just a hop away from Aquatica.

During this retreat, you will be served daily organic breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Eating with the times - that is what it is all about at Aquatica. The restaurant, located in the middle of the resort’s garden, is also called Aquatica and is in perfect harmony with the resort’s philosophy. Food is about freshness, wellness, and pleasure. The products used are mostly locally-grown and organic, respecting nature and your health at the same time.
The restaurant is absolutely outward-looking, no walls and a typical Goan-styled natural roof with much vegetation and light. You will likely enjoy your meal in a picturesque environment, either eating on the main platform or choosing the small sofa-furnished ones, even closer to the nature.
A full body massage is included in the total cost of the retreat. You can also book authentic Ayurveda treatments and water therapies such as Watsu, steam, and sauna at additional costs.

"During my first class with Mahala, I burst into laughter in the middle of my very first tree pose. Why haven't I started this before? What took me so long to start appreciating my body, my mind and my breath? The whole is bigger than the sum of its parts. "I first met Mahala nine months ago. I only did two classes with her before I decided to go on a yoga retreat to India with her! We had a fantastic time in Goa last autumn with a group of her yoga students and I have also since been to the wonderful island of Amorgos on another retreat with Mahala. I love Mahala's classes because she inspires me to go further. Mahala always says "just try and move a millimetre more" and I find I can move a couple of centimetres more!
