Casa Flora is located in Timpone near S. Vincenzo, above the scenic plaza at the center of the town overlooking the sea and Strombolicchio. The bakery, stores, supermarkets, restaurants, and the post office are just five minutes away. The sea and the Scarli beach (the nearest beach) can be reached both by the principal road and by the small paths covered with flowers, approximately 400 meters away. The villa is composed of three apartments, differing in size, which can be unified for a total sleeping area for 16 people.
The apartments overlook a beautifully panoramic, 200 square meter terrace facing Strombolicchio, the Calabrian coastline, and the Strait of Messina. The villa faces east and the terrace, in pure eolian style, is covered with "cannnizzi", resting on "pulere" (columns), and surrounded by typical "bisuoli" (chairs). It overlooks a beautiful garden of 2000 square meters filled with citrus, palm and olive trees, prickly pear, eucalyptus, hibiscus, and grapevines.
It is a perfect place to enjoy the sea breeze, see a spectacular sunrise, and savor good food surrounded by the beauty and perfume that nature offers. The house is light-filled and particularly cool in the summer due to fresh air rising from the deep valley of the torrent. Each apartment is also furnished with screens.
Casa Flora is located in a tranquil and peaceful area and is particularly adapted to families and seminar groups. The furnishings and interior design are clean, well-kept, and elegant in the ethnic Mediterranean style.
On this retreat, you will experience daily yoga Nidra. Yoga Nidra is derived from the Tantras and is a powerful technique in which you learn to relax consciously. It is a systematic method of including complete physical, mental, and emotional relaxation. The word yoga Nidra is derived from two Sanskrit words: "yoga" which means "union" and "Nidra" which means "sleep".
During yoga Nidra, one appears to be asleep, but the consciousness is functioning at a deeper level of awareness. Yoga Nidra is very powerful and can be applied in many ways. For example, you can use it to develop the memory, increase knowledge and creativity, or transform your nature.
The yoga sessions will focus on Vinyasa, seasonal yoga, and yoga with essential oils. In each season, you have two organs that are dominant. During this retreat, you will be approaching summer, so you will be working with yoga and Qigong (similar to tai chi) to energize the heart and small intestine meridians.
You will be combining the following doTERRA essential oils into this retreat program:
The retreat will take place in Stromboli, Italy. Stromboli is one of the beautiful Islands of the Aeolian archipelago in Sicily. It is also known as the Island that smokes because the volcano is still active and offers a natural spectacle to all visitors. The Sicillians call it Iddu or "Him", in reference to the divine nature that was once attributed to uncontrollable natural phenomena.
The price of the package includes daily breakfast.
There are opportunities to take a guided trek up to the top of the volcano. There will be hiking excursions to the top craters of Stromboli, which lay 900 meters above the sea level. Every group is composed of up to 20 people. The hiking takes up to five hours and costs about 28 EUR per person. The departure of the hike is three hours before sunset. The availability is limited, so you need to book early.
You can also have fun by visiting the beaches of Stromboli. Undoubtedly, the sea is one of the main attractions of the island. If you do not own a boat, there are countless places where you can relax on the soft black sand and enjoy the spectacular sea. Stromboli has a few small and secluded coves that you can discover and explore.
You can also go on visits to the folkloristic village of Ginostra. Additionally, you may try diving and other water sports, go sailing, or even fishing. There are also a soccer field and beach volley, and of course above all, the sea! The nearest beach is 10 minutes by foot while the farthest one (the long beach at Piscità) takes about 20 minutes, with other beaches and coves between the two of them.
