Villa Santa Vita

All apartments offer one of the best views of the Mediterranean and a glance at the green hillside landscape. Mahakala will become your home for the week, which means you are welcome to use any space that you feel like.

We chose this setting to make sure that water and mountain lovers have their favorite element to rejuvenate in. Our main accommodation location combines the best of both worlds: clean pristine luxury in the midst of nature on a hill. Villa Santa Vita was specially built in accordance with the principles of fengshui. The villa consists of four individual apartments with balconies, all of which have views of the Adriatic Sea. These characteristics make the place ideal for leaving everyday life at home and finding inner peace and tranquillity. The yoga house is situated right next to the villa.

Health

Our retreat leader is one of the rare doctors that has built a bridge between the western medicine and more eastern, natural way of looking at health and well being. As well as being a general practitioner, she is a certified midwife and trained in natural medicine, nutritional medicine, and acupuncture. This package is very health specific to the other activities she will also be doing acupuncture, nutritional talk, cooking class, yoga philosophy talk and tongue diagnostic with you.

Breathing classes and meditation(Pranayama)

Your breath is your most intimate companion. It is the essential interface between your body and your mind. Your breath both responds to and controls your emotions as well as your thoughts.

Yogic breathing exercises are called “pranayama”. We will be doing a range of different types of breathing exercises ranging from basic abdominal breathing to AnulomVilom (alternate nostril breathing).

Yoga (Asana)

Traditional that stretches and tones the whole body in more gentle and holistic way. This yoga complete healing system designed to help the body maintain natural healthy state. Our yoga involves frequent relaxation and emphasizes yogic breathing, which was inspired by Sivananda Yoga. Traditional Hatha Yoga practice can be basically categorized into three components, which are standing, sitting finishing and final relaxation.

Explore nature

Connect with nature and yourself more. Montenegro is Rich with its green lush hills and valleys, the turquoise coastal beaches, and the shallow rocky-mountains that decorate the landscape. Where the trees feel alive and the calm waters move at their own pace, you will be able to immerse in this beauty with different walking trails or just going for a swim to find hidden caves.

Cliff walk

Our favorite secret adventures walk along the cliffs greenery to a little bay in which you will be able to cool off in. This walk is admits the trees and rocks with the view of the cliffs edge and the turquoise ocean.

Budva old town

Two-hour ocean walk from Raffello to Budva old town along the ocean. Budva old town are stonewalls built by the Venetians surround the narrow streets of the medieval old town (Stari Grad). This historic district is home to a seaside citadel and religious sites such as the Church of Santa Maria in Punta, established in the 9th century.

Rijeka Cronvjeca (Skadar national park)

Enjoy a walk from a beautiful little town by Skadar lake to hidden small waterfalls amidst trees and mountains (whole day trip approximately 50 EUR).

Kotor

Kotor lies in a bay near limestone cliffs. Characterized by winding streets and squares, its medieval old town has several Romanesque churches, including Kotor Cathedral. It's also home to the Maritime Museum, which explores local seafaring history.

Bar Old town

Old Town Bar is one of those magical places where modern residents live in the shadow of Turkish baths, Roman aqueducts and a citadel where the first stones were laid over 1000 years ago. (approximately 30 EUR).

Her driven passion towards a healthier being led her to become a Pilates teacher and practice yoga time to time. But after a spiritual experience, she found her answers in yoga philosophy and decided to become a yoga teacher and create a space for others to come and enjoy what she had learned and experienced.

Retreat location

In this retreat, you will be taking on a journey to discover a hidden gem of Europe. Montenegro, or black mountain in Spanish, is a playground of geographical wonders with vast rock formations, an unparalleled coast that gives some of the most beautiful views of the Adriatic, and a rich city center with a fusion of food that comes from the people’s Serbian heritage. But Montenegro’s greatest assets are the quiet and calm areas where you can hear the birds sing and feel the wind blow through the trees. To sit quietly for a moment. To feel connected to the earth.

The retreat is located in the midst of this, in a little beachside town called Bulgarica. For a healthy relaxation holiday, nutrition is one of the key factors that will help your body rejuvenate. In this retreat, The Green Path does it a bit differently, as they want you not to only enjoy the tasty meals but also learn how to make them on your own. So the retreat includes a cooking session every day at brunch time, where as a group, you will make meals out of fresh vegetables, enjoying and learning from each other.

One of the retreat leaders, Dr. Lemm, is specialized in nutritional therapy and will be cooking as well as answering any of your questions about a healthy lifestyle. You will be making these vegan meals together once a day around brunch time. The other meals are not included in the package but the kitchen is available for use at any time and there are shops and restaurants close by.

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Podgorica Airport (TGD). The fastest and cheapest way to get to Montenegro is with Ryanair. There are direct return flights from Berlin, Brussels, and London to this airport for approximately 80 EUR return. From the airport, it takes one hour by car to the retreat. Transfer from and to this airport can be arranged on request at an additional cost.
