This Yoga, Ayurveda and Meditation retreat will take place in a beautiful and unspoiled part of Cyprus, an area of outstanding natural beauty, steeped in the mythology of Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of Love. It is an area held to have a particularly healing and sacred energy and just being in this place seems to deeply heal and uplift participants. With the support of the wisdom teachings of Yoga and Ayurveda woven into your classes, you will learn and experience much to enrich your health and your life generally. Most importantly, you will be guided toward a steady body-mind harmony that will allow you to rest in greater health, joy, and inner calm.
The retreat is set in an unspoiled part of the island, with a long beautiful beach, olive groves and fruit trees, flowers and herbs around the accommodation. Accommodation is light and spacious, with air conditioning and private bathroom, a private terrace and view across the gardens to the beach. Twin / double and single rooms are available.
The daily schedule of this retreat begins everyday with morning Hatha yoga and at the end of the day with afternoon Yin-Ayurvedic yoga. You will be guided in nurturing sunrise and sunset beach meditations. Also, you will be offered occasional optional workshops on Yoga and Ayurveda philosophy. There will be free time to enjoy walks on the long deserted beach with stunning coastal scenery, swimming in the sea, biking, hiking, boat trips, and diving. On day 6 there is no afternoon practice to allow you time to explore the surroundings, maybe by taking a trip into the Troodos mountains, or visiting some of the wonderful archaeological sites of Cyprus. You will learn and take home tools and new insights to support balance, peace of mind, and greater well-being in your daily life, after living for one week in harmony with the natural rhythms of your body and nature, as guided by the ancient teachings of yoga and Ayurveda.
