The lodges have been designed to work in harmony with the natural surroundings. They are the ideal place for relaxing and disconnecting from daily stress. The quiet and serenity of being in nature means you can 'retreat' completely here and sleep soundly.

Beach huts at Lotus Oasis

The comfortable huts, made out of palm leaves, bamboo and straw, give you the necessary luxury without taxing the environment. Due to the seasonal monsoon rains and a local law prohibiting any brick buildings near the beach, the beach huts are rebuilt every year using local organic materials.

They are simple, clean and comfortable. All huts have attached bathrooms, storage space for clothes, and comfortable beds. The balcony comes equipped with a hammock - the perfect spot for meditating, reading or just watching the sea and for you to spend the time outside to enjoy the sunshine. The nights at the huts are perfectly silent and you can fall asleep listening to the sound of the waves.

Tropical cabana huts at the Lotus-Kaama Kethna

To be true to nature all accommodation has been built with natural materials including bamboo, wood and canvas. A lush garden surrounds each cabana terrace with abundant greenery, ornamental plants and fruit trees. The cabanas are tastefully decorated with furniture amidst various thematic gardens. The comfortable rooms are furnished with a double bed, mosquito net, table, chairs, and lockers for storing personal belongings.

The bedroom can be completely opened to the outdoors, bringing the sacredness of nature inside. Attached is a spacious, open-air bathroom that comes with an eco-friendly compost toilet and open-air shower. Clean sheets, towels, and ecological soaps are provide, and for the cooler nights, also warm blankets. The bathrooms come with eco-friendly compost toilets and open-air showers. A laundry service is provided in order to support the locals.

If you want to visit India for a yoga holiday, you have found the perfect location. Feedback from guests shows that the resort has a special atmosphere and attracts an interesting, international set of people.

Take your time. Ease your mind. Nurture your soul. Reconnect with your strength and inner wisdom. Yoga classes are held in a magical forest garden setting. This spot was especially chosen for its replenishing energy. Whether you are experienced or new to yoga, you will find practicing outside on the spectacular pyramid shala a highly rewarding experience - both physically and spiritually.

Goa is often called the Pearl of the Orient. It is full of pleasant surprises; charming little villages with colourful churches; succulent rice fields next to Hindu temples; a 100-kilometer long coastline lined with coconut palm trees.

A melting pot of different cultures, Goa is shaped by its Indian and Portuguese heritage. From 1510 until 1961 Goa was under Portuguese rule. This European influence is still evident in many houses and churches built in the typical colonial style. Goa is known for its World Heritage architecture and temples.

Goa is the smallest but richest state in India with 1.3 million inhabitants living on an area of 3702 km2. It is on the south west coast of the Indian subcontinent.

Arrival by bus

The Indian bus network is very well developed, although the roads are often rather bumpy and this is definitely the least comfortable option for travelling. Make sure you get a sleeper bus if travelling overnight and possibly even reserve two seats if you don't want to share your couchette with a stranger.

Buses coming from big cities (Mumbai, Pune, Delhi etc.) stop at Margao so from there you will need to get a local bus or taxi to Patnem. Some buses from the south or east (Hampi) stop at Chaudi (only 5 to 10 minutes by rickshaw).

Arrival by train

Some trains stop at Chaudi station (only 5 to 10 minutes by rickshaw from Louts Yoga Retreat). Alternatively you can get a train to Margao and then catch a local bus or taxi to Patnem which takes about an hour.

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 50% of the total price.
  • The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid 30 days before arrival.

"Very nice place. I stayed here with my family for 3 days. We went to Goa for a 2 day trip but our stay at Lotus Oasis made us extend it to third day. None of us wanted to come back when vacation eneded :DThis was my first visit to Lotus. I booked this place based on other reviews and our stay was splendid. There are so many huts and resorts in Patnem and Palolim beach. But what stands out Lotus Oasis is the hospitality of Sam and Manav. These guys are simply amazing. They go out of way to make their every guest's holiday a special one. Beach is quiet, clean and calm. Morning yoga by the beach s superb. We planned this trip for our pet Levy. Sam and Manav took utmost care of her even when we were not around.Huts are clean, well maintained and spacious enough for 2 person. Food at Lotus is also very good. Surprise musical nights make it more interesting. Per night charges for the huts are pretty competitive and you cannot ask for anything more for whatever Lotus has to offer.I was surprised by the distance I had to travel from North Goa but after I reached Lotus it was worth every effort put in to reach here. These guys are always almost full. So it is advisable to book well in advance.I am planning to visit this palace again on a long weekend. It is affordable, easy to reach (nearby bus stop and railway station) and most importantly calm and quiet place. For those who are planning a Goa visit to relax and enjoy the beaches and music, this is the place.."

"Lotus Oasis is a very relaxed and chill spot on the mellow Patnem beach. The beach huts are clean, with a well-kept private bathroom and all you need for your Goa Vacation. What sets this place apart are the owners Sam and Manav and their staff. They are amazing human beings who go above and beyond to make their guests feel at home and comfortable. It all creates a very positive and amazing atmosphere where everyone becomes like a mini-family.The live music was great, the food and drinks were incredibly fresh and quality and the surrounding area offers a perfect mix of activities. I also have a food allergy and the staff was incredibly accommodating to my needs and was able to try anything off the menu.I am already thinking about my next visit back."

"Had an amazing trip here in January for a 10 day yoga retreat. Kaama Kethna is a peaceful, lush retreat - a five minute taxi drive from sea sand and shops of Agonda Beach. Its a relative "jungle" retreat - with love and care taken with the spread of food served up at every meal, made with organic home grown ingredients. The huts and tree houses were had a cosy and back to nature feel - loved the outdoor bathrooms. Hammocks dotted about the place to chill in the shade. The sounds of nature are around 24/7. Two lovely yoga spaces, and we had monkeys around in the trees during many yoga sessions. The owner is a lovely man with a lot of wisdom. Ayurvedic massages were the best."
