Students who complete their training before December 31, 2023 are eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT®).

How the training works

The training course consists of 125 contact hours via Zoom and 75 non-contact hours for self-study.

1. Techniques, training, and practice: 100 hours

• Minimum contact hours: 75 hours
• Non-contact hours: 30 hours

2. Teaching methodology: 25 hours

• Minimum contact hours: 15 hours
• Non-contact hours: 10 hours

3. Anatomy and physiology: 20 hours

• Minimum contact hours: 10 hours
• Non-contact hours: 15 hours

4. Yoga philosophy, lifestyle, and ethics for yoga teachers: 30 hours

• Minimum contact hours: 20 hours
• Non-contact hours: 15 hours

5. Practicum: 10 hours

• Minimum contact hours: 5 hours
• Non-contact hours: 5 hours

Daily schedule (GMT+5:30)

• 12:30 - 13:00 Pranayama or meditation
• 13:30 - 14:30 Theory (philosophy, anatomy, or art of teaching)

For asana classes, you have four choices to choose a class as per your own convenience: 0:10 a.m., 12:00 p.m., 5:00 p.m., and 9:30 p.m. Each class will last in 90 minutes including asana practice, alignment, or teaching methodology.

Course information

The online courses will cover three styles of yoga: Hatha, Vinyasa, and Ashtanga, and will be complemented by discourses on yoga philosophy and anatomy. This online 200-hour yoga teacher training course is divided into five segments, art of teaching, alignment and adjustment, anatomy, or philosophy, and asanas. Each segment is conducted every day for over 45 days. You will have access to an online manual. Weekly exercises and assessments will be conducted. Upon successful completion of all segments, you will receive a full yoga teacher certification after appearing for a written and practical examination.

You can come anytime to Goa, India in the future to attend 11-day classes in the presence of yoga instructors including private accommodation and food.

This teacher training is held online. Lotus Oasis Beach Huts Village Resort is located in Canacona, India (GMT+5:30), and they will live-stream yoga classes via Zoom which you can participate from the comfort of your home.
