During this retreat, you will stay either in a private or a shared room in the EcoYoga Center, a tranquil river-side retreat in the Scottish highlands, dedicated to teaching yoga and sustainable eco living. This venue offers a luxurious, yet natural, eco-rustic experience.

The EcoYoga Center has thirteen bedrooms with luxurious super king-sized beds, a sofa, and table in a sunny windowed lobby, or views to the river. There is also an all-year-round, heated, furnished yurt, which accommodates three single beds.

The glazed yoga studio overlooks the gorge of the River Liever and has a calm, serene ambience. The shala is purpose built with underfloor heating and the soothing sounds of waterfalls nearby. There are several bathing areas, inspired by the Japanese tradition of sento or bathing house. You can soak in the natural wooden hot tubs in the dome, or choose some hideaway bathing spot in the forest or river bank. The outdoor, heated bath tubs are the ultimate natural bathing experience. It is a magical way to relax and fully connect with nature.

Upon waking up in this stunning location, you will experience beautiful Vinyasa Flow Yoga and creative choreography. You will explore elemental Vinyasa and aspects of yoga philosophy.

In the afternoons, you will surrender to a more restorative Yin practice, allowing your being to rest, renew, and rejuvenate. You will also be able to relax in the dome hot tub and artisan sauna, bathe by the waterfall, walk in the hills and lochs, or visit ancient stone and megalithic sights.

  • Heidi Pascual

    Heidi has over one thousand hours of yoga teacher training. Her studies and creative qualities are woven within precise alignment of classical asana. Flowing transitions between dynamic and static poses are guided by the rhythm of the breath, creating a tandava, a graceful dance of breath and movement. She designs each class with a balance of alignment, yoga assists, form and flow; pranayama, Indian philosophy, and meditation. As a writer and teacher of literature, she is inspired by language and art.

This retreat will take place at the EcoYoga Center in Argyll, Scotland. The EcoYoga Centre is a tranquil river-side retreat in the Scottish highlands, dedicated to teaching yoga and sustainable eco living, the center is set in a magnificent Scottish scenery surrounded by hills, lochs, rivers, and forests abound. This venue offers a luxurious, yet natural, eco-rustic experience.

Driving directions from Glasgow

  • Get on the M8 and follow the signs for the airport (M898/A898).
  • Cross the Erskine Bridge, then follow brown signs for Loch Lomond (A82).
  • About a one-hour drive from the airport, at Tarbet take the A83 signs for Campbeltown/Inveraray.
  • Drive through Inveraray, continuing on the A83 and follow signs for Lochgilphead and Campbeltown.
  • Just past Lochgilphead, turn right towards Oban on the A816.
  • Drive through the village of Kilmartin.
  • One mile north of Kilmartin, just after the signs for Carnassirie Castle, turn right into the B840 towards Ford village.
  • At Ford village follow the road up past the B&B towards Dalavich (the roads turns sharp to the right - but you must drive straight on through the village).
  • Carry on for 2.2 miles with Loch Awe on your right.
  • Past a fisherman's bunk called "Torran Bay" on your right (big building with a large sign by the side of the road).
  • You will go past a few houses on the left and the road goes round to the right.
  • You will drive through some tree tunnels and you will have the Loch on the right still.
  • You will come to a row of four bungalows on the left and just after you go over a small metal bridge.
  • Immediately after the bridge there is a left hand turn up a track.
  • There is a small round EcoYoga sign at the bottom of the track.
  • Follow the track up two white houses and keep going.
  • You will come to a wooden gate which is the entrance to EcoYoga center.

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at the International Glasgow Airport (GLA). Transfer from and to this airport is available upon request.

Arrival by bus

From Glasgow catch a bus to Lochgilphead. There are about five buses a day from Glasgow and the journey takes two hours 30 minutes. Transfer from the bus station is available upon request for an additional cost of approximately 15 GBP.

    "What a wonderful treat to attend a yoga retreat with Heidi. From the moment you arrive you are made to feel so welcome! The barn is stunning and the rooms are spacious and very comfortable, with a huge, luxurious bed. The catering by Cashew is just out of this world, full of flavors and originality, even if you are not a vegetarian. I didn't leave a crumb in my plate. The yoga sessions are long and soulful, and I learnt so much about yoga but also about myself and my yoga journey. I particularly loved the spiritual element Heidi brings to the practice and our focus on Ganesha. Fascinating and it has stayed with me ever since. The yoga Nidra and Kirtan sessions in the evening were wonderful additions too. But most of all, and what surprised me as it was my first retreat, was the long term effects: the week that followed, I felt a deep sense of serenity and happiness, a sensation difficult to describe but that I had never experienced before. I wish I could do this every month!"
