If you are in Ubud, you must go down to ketut's, either to meet a 9th generation medicine man or even just to have a coffee and chat to the staff about Balinese culture and traditions. I am skeptical about readings of your future and spiritual healing but this place doesn't impose any of that on you. In fact, they offer you a new way of thinking about the red and your role in it. I loved that!

I had been staying in Denpasar with a local family and went to Ubud for a bit of a touristy/ shopping experience. However, I arrived at Ketut Liyer's (ready to take pics of where Eat Pray Love was filmed!) And was greeted by huge smiles, beautiful natural surroundings and a wonderful pride in Balinese culture. I ended up staying for 2 weeks!

I expected it to be touristy and busy, having no idea that the resort had opened alongside Ketut's beautiful and humble family home. It wasn't touristy at all, it was honest and beautiful and clearly built with love and pride for Bali and spirituality.

The resort is stunning. Well priced and with the best quality rooms, food and experiences I saw during my whole time in Indonesia. I didn't want to leave. The staff knew my budget, as a solo backpacker, but never made me feel less welcome and became like a family away from home, offering council and friendship. I was finally able to relax and reflect on my journey so far.

Puspa the yoga teacher is wonderful and all of the staff take such care of you. They'll always remember your name, your favourite organic juice or ask you about your day if you've ventured out to the rice paddies or monkey forest.

I can't wait to go back and take my family to experience such tranquility and such warm and loving people!

We arrived to Ketut Liyer House without knowing that it was really his house. It was an amazing experience. We had the chance to meet him and his lovely family, live with them for a couple of weeks and share their culture as well as their infinite kindness and wisdom.Regarding to Yoga, Ni Komang Puspa is an excellent teacher and will help you with all your requests. Picking you up at the airport and taking you back is also a service they provide and the price is the common one. All rooms have a kettle and free coffee, as well as bottled water. Ah! and wifi everywhere. Anyway, whatever you need once in there, ask, and they will always help you to sort it out. Air conditioning and hot water is excellent, and truly appreciated if you go during the wet season. Prices in general are more than good. Sure you can find cheaper, but not with their standards. Without a doubt when I will go back to Ubud, I will be back to Ketut Liyer House.

Liyer's House is a stunning place to stay! After you walk through the traditional balinese family home of Ketut Liyer you enter the breathtaking garden. A small calming spring flows through the whole area. Passing the lifely waterfall, the newly build accommodation, the Spa (where you can let the therapists pamper and relax you) and finally comes to a pond next to the organic restaurant and the refreshing pool.

The details in the garden make you feel like you are in a balinese fairytale. There are so many things to look at and to discover while you make your way on the winding path to the restaurant.

Liyer's Family and the attentive staff are just lovely and helpful. No request stays unattended and everybody is cared for while and after being in Liyer's House!
