Give yourself a midyear boost of rejuvenation and brighten up your winter by escaping to the beautiful island of Bali for the yoga vacation of your dream. Embrace a blissful wellness week full of healthy cuisine, yoga, and culture. This is your opportunity to unwind and bask in the warmth of the sun, dive deep into your daily sessions of yoga practice, explore the stunning parts of Bali, and have a refreshing dip in the pool or possibly bliss out even more in a day spa.
All ages are welcome as participants.
During the retreat, you will stay in Puri Bagus Candidasa, a deluxe seafront resort. Making the most of its natural surroundings, the resort is set on traditional Balinese architecture with all the modern amenities. Woven among beautiful tropical gardens, all of the retreat villas will be near the beautiful yoga bale. Each of the spacious deluxe villas are equipped with a king size bed or twin size beds configuration and the private semi open-air shower offers an elegant design.
This retreat will be held in Candidasa, Bali. The place creates long-lasting memories as the evening sun is consumed by the Indian Ocean and there are fishermen out at sea. You can relax in the open-air beach bar enjoying the warm tropical breeze and a cool drink as another day passes away.
This is a place to relax and it allows the spirit of the island to come to you. Stretch out on your terrace and enjoy the stunning view of tropical gardens or the Indian Ocean. Encourage yourself to experience some of the fantastic activities like snorkeling or diving the breathtaking underwater world, exploring Balinese cultural and nature, or indulging in an authentic Balinese massage.
You will have your yoga practice in a stunning and breathtaking yoga bale. You don't have to bring any props as the bale provides all the things you need including bolsters. The yoga sessions are suitable for beginner and intermediate practitioners. There will be two yoga sessions daily and will integrate a beautiful balance of yin and yang. Your yoga sessions will be led by your yoga facilitators and retreat leaders Kathleen and Christina. On Sunday evening, you will have a 90-minute revive flow session to unwind you from your travels and immerse you more fully into your retreat experience. Some sessions will begin with a 20-minute myofascial release session so that your body will be more open and your flow more effective.
Power Vinyasa yoga will be your vigorous grounding yang practice to begin each day. Your afternoons will be spent lying in relaxing lush Yin yoga poses as well as some guided meditation. Every night you will close your evening with a guided relaxation (yoga Nidra) to help deliver you into an even deeper state of bliss and relaxation before bed.
Everything on the program is optional. If any time you wish to opt out of any activity, please feel free to instead wander and take advantage of the stunning surroundings at the resort.
Please book your flight to arrive at Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS). Transfer from and to the airport is included. A driver will pick you up at the airport. There are reasonably priced daily flights to Bali from either Wellington, Auckland, or Christchurch. There are also Air New Zealand non-stop flights between Bali and Auckland that depart on a Wednesday and Saturday.
From 4 p.m.
Visa is not required for a New Zealand citizen to visit Indonesia in the maximum length of stay of 30 days.
