Give yourself a midyear boost of rejuvenation and brighten up your summer by escaping to the beautiful island of Bali for the yoga vacation of your dreams. Embrace a blissful wellness week full of healthy cuisine, yoga, and culture. This is your opportunity to unwind and bask in the warmth of the sun, dive deep into your daily sessions of yoga practice, explore the stunning parts of Bali, and have a refreshing dip in the pool or possibly bliss out even more in a day spa.
During the retreat, you will stay at a deluxe seafront resort in Candidasa. Making the most of its natural surroundings, the resort is set on traditional Balinese architecture with all the modern amenities.
Woven among beautiful tropical gardens, all of the retreat villas will be near the beautiful yoga bale. Each of the spacious deluxe villas is equipped with a king size bed or twin beds and private semi open-air showers that offer an elegant design.
If you are applying for a twin-share spot and are attending the retreat by yourself, the twin-share option is subject to availability. If Live Well Retreats cannot match you with another twin-share retreater by April 1, 2018, then you will need to book the private room option.
This retreat will start on Saturday, June 23, 2018, at 6:00 p.m. with dinner and will end on Friday, June 29, 2018, at 11:00 a.m.
Dive deep into your yoga practice with daily sessions of both Yin and Yang yoga. You will relax and balance your minds through mindfulness and meditation. Live Well Retreats has a stunning yoga bale to practice in, which is simply breathtaking.
There is no need to bring any props. The yoga sessions will be suitable for beginner and intermediate practitioners. For the most part, there will be two daily yoga classes, which will integrate a beautiful balance of yin and yang. The sessions will be led by Kathleen Filo.
Power Vinyasa yoga will be your vigorous grounding yang practice to begin each day. Afternoons will be spent lying in relaxing lush Yin yoga poses, as well as some guided meditation sessions.
Power Vinyasa yoga is a powerful, energetic form of yoga where students fluidly move from one pose to the next while connecting their breathing to their movements. Poses are held for one breath, up to 1.5 minutes each. The class will move dynamically, then slow down for deep hip release towards the end.
This practice will incorporate strength, developing dynamic flexibility, balance, cardio, fat burning, and physical and mental resilience in one session. Power Vinyasa yoga is often described as ‘the perfect blend of sweat and serenity’.
Everything on this program will be optional, so if at any time you will wish to opt out of any activity, please feel free to instead wander and take advantage of the stunning surroundings of the resort.
There will be two excursions during this holiday. One day trip will consist of boating and snorkeling under the surface, marveling at the exquisite tropical fish and beautiful corals beneath.
On the other day trip, you will explore a bit of the Balinese culture and head out to the spiritual capital of Bali, Ubud. There are countless great organic cafes with a beautiful healthy cuisine in Ubud. The only dilemma you will face will be deciding which one to pick for your lunch experience.
Time will be completely yours to either shop, practice yoga at the renowned ‘Yoga Barn,’ visit the Monkey Forest, have some spa treatments, or basically do whatever suits and serves you.
Do you want to learn a little about Bali culture? A visit to the local village temple is on offer and so is the opportunity to learn how to make the beautiful Balinese basket offerings.
This retreat will be held in Candidasa, Bali. The place creates long-lasting memories as the evening sun is consumed by the Indian Ocean and there are fishermen out at sea. You can relax at the open-air beach bar, enjoying the warm tropical breeze and a cool drink as another day passes by.
This is a place to relax and it allows the spirit of the island to come to you. Stretch out on your terrace and enjoy the stunning view of the tropical gardens or the Indian Ocean. Encourage yourself to experience some fantastic activities like diving the breathtaking underwater world or exploring the Balinese culture and nature.
Your bodies will be fuelled with fresh nourishing healthy foods. Food will be locally sourced and mostly organic where possible. Meals will be wholesome and delicious to nurture, nourish, and sustain you over the week.
Your meals will be designed to maximize energy and wellbeing with the use of fresh organic foods, rich in vitamins. The menu for the week will infuse plenty of seasonal vegetables, fruits, whole grains, chicken, and fresh fish caught by the local fishermen. There will also be vegan and gluten-free options.
Take advantage of the generous downtime in between sessions to enjoy the resort and embrace the opportunities to relax. The day spa is equipped with four single treatment rooms, steam room, and hair treatment salon.
The ocean will be right on your doorstep, so make the most of this by venturing on boat trips, snorkeling, and other water activities. If not, simply enjoy diving or swimming in the 3.7-meter deep swimming pool.
Explore the arts and crafts of the local village. The resort will provide complimentary transfers to the local village or you could grab a resort bike.
