I had the best holiday. Liquid Mountains was exactly what I was after. I am now a pro surfer (meaning I can actually catch a wave unassisted) and found a new love for yoga. All the coaches were fantastic and were above and beyond what I was expecting. The house I stayed in was huge, had an excellent kitchen, a nice big bedroom, and a bathroom. Liquid Mountains would help in any way possible to ensure I had a great holiday. Highly recommend it to anyone new to yoga or surfing or if you have experience.

My boyfriend and I stayed in the guesthouse for two weeks, in the downstairs suite. We were apparently originally booked for twin beds in the lodge, but they were accommodating when we got there and moved us to the larger room since it was not occupied. The address does not pull up on google maps, so it was a little difficult to find at first. It is in a nice location, a five-minute drive to Arrifana, right in the middle of all the good surf spots, 10 minutes to Aljezur, and about 30 minutes to Lagos. They serve breakfast every morning, it is mostly some bread and meat with cheese (it depends on the person responsible that morning, some mornings are great). It has a nice, spacious kitchen and living room with a great outdoor space with a pool, couches, and skate ramp. The only cons were: we were told we would get a fridge multiple times, that never happened so we used the main one; one person chastised us for putting away a dirty pan when it was not us and we kept everything very tidy; and I was looking forward to yoga, but was only offered a class once and never saw it happen at all. Some of the people working there are not great, but others try really hard and are wonderful. We really did enjoy our stay and would most likely stay there again.
I visited Liquid Mountains at the end of March 2016 for five days. Phillip is an amazing host who made my stay very pleasant and comfortable, starting from arranging pick-up and drop-off from the bus stop to helping me plan activities for my five-day holiday. I mainly did yoga and went hiking along the beautiful coast of Aljezur. The room in the surf lodge was clean, spacious, and bright. I had all the amenities I required. Thank you for a wonderful stay and I hope to be back again someday!

I stayed here the week before Easter for a week of surf and yoga. I was traveling alone, looking to relax and improve my surfing. I got this and more. Phillipp was the best surf instructor I have ever had, taking time to give everyone individual feedback on their surfing and how to improve it. His love of surfing really comes across in the lessons and is very motivating. Yoga was very relaxing and done overlooking the beautiful lake. Rose, the teacher, gave modifications for each exercise, which meant anyone of any level could enjoy the class whether a yoga expert or a complete beginner. The surrounding area itself was beautiful with plenty of places to go for a walk or drive around. The cliffs are definitely worth a view. I stayed in both the guesthouse and the surf lodge. Both were great, the lodge was super chilled though, I could see myself coming back with a group and staying in the guesthouse for more of a party vibe. Wi-Fi was great in both places. Phillipp could not do enough to help and any advice was only a question away. Thanks for a great stay.

I would call myself an advanced surf beginner. I was looking for a surf school where I could progress my surfing and which could bring me to to the next level. This goal has been completely fulfilled. If you are looking to progress your surfing, this is the best surf school for you. Of course, I also liked the rest of my time there. The house was nice and I began to love the skateboard mini ramp, even though I had never skated before in my life. The only thing I would recommend to change would be to have W-LAN available in all rooms and not only the ones near the living room.

I organized a stag weekend of 13 guys to Liquid Mountains. From the first email, I got the impression they really cared about our experience and all along the way they helped out with every request. When we arrived, we were not disappointed. We were promptly collected from the airport and taken to the lodge, perched on the edge of a beautiful valley which looks down to a lagoon. The accommodation was clean, airy, and spacious; outside was a nice pool, a basketball hoop, and a skate ramp. We were served breakfast in the morning and in the evening, Sebastian arrived to open and serve from the bar to us!
The Liquid Mountains team organized our surfing activity and equipment hire, transport to and from the beach, plus yoga and hula session to keep us busy. The beach we went to was gorgeous and the tuition we received as beginners, was great. Everyone loved the surfing even though we only had a few minutes of time standing up between the whole group!
What really struck me about this place though is that it would be really well suited to a family group or individuals as much as a large group. It is really peaceful and quiet there and I would ideally do a return visit alone to enjoy the silence, good weather, and food as a week retreat.
Overall, I recommend this place to anyone and everyone. If you are not sure about anything, just send them an email.
