Discover the beauty of Yin yoga and learn how to teach it to others. Now more than ever you are needed to instill peace and calm in the world - and this begins with you. This course invites you to bask in this sacred global pause and find greater purpose as you dive into what is meaningful for you and how you share this with the world.
You need a device to view the event, your yoga mat, a notebook, a pen, your favorite tea and mug, water, and any sacred object(s) you wish to have nearby.
This virtual course is for all levels! The Yin yoga classes will be accessible to everyone, beginner to advanced practitioners. You will receive a survey to complete after your payment is received. You can join even if you're not interested in the certificate.
All students must complete teaching a 1-hour practice class via video or live stream to receive the certificate and Yoga Alliance credit (for RYT). Practice classes must be submitted within 60 days.
The live training will be held 3 days, on October 2-4th, 2020. All classes will be held on Zoom. You will receive the link upon payment. The digital manual will be sent out one week prior to the start. Class times are subject to change and may be adjusted according to the time zone of the group.
Live classes will be held between 5 - 9 p.m. Indian Standard Time (GMT+5:30) and replay will be available for those unable to attend the course live but still wish to participate.
Video replays and all slideshows will be available to all students within 48 hours of each day if you cannot make the live times.
Yin yoga is a slow approach to yoga where postures are held for long periods of time seated or reclined. Find more flexibility, ease, and grace in your body and mind through Yin yoga with Lindsay Nova.
The group will set out intentions together in the opening circle and enjoy guided Yin yoga classes with lead instructor Lindsay Nova during the first 3 days.
Then the class will break down all the postures, cover sequencing, theory, history, anatomy, and more in the interactive sessions. Students will have the opportunity to ask questions in real-time.
There will be time for each student to practice teach the group supervised on Zoom as well non-contact time to pair up and practice teach with other students.
The last two days will be dedicated to practice teaching. You will learn tips to infuse mindfulness, embodied breath, and health throughout your days with the intention for a greater purpose.
Lindsay Nova (500-hours) often calls herself 'a one-woman spiritual circus'. She is a firm believer in the wisdom of the body, the strength of the heart, and the power of the breath. After studying dance, yoga, and movement around the world, she has dedicated her life to being a creative fitness educator and multidimensional performance artist, inspiring and empowering others to take charge of their lives and live their own dreams.
