It's not always easy in everyday life to find enough quiet time to be creative and mindful. We sometimes need space and silence in a safe, supportive environment. This is what Limnisa offers. Come to Limnisa! No distractions and no excuse not to get down to writing. You are welcome if you want to focus on a project or something on your mind, be it artistic or more personal, provided you are happy to be silent in the mornings and make space for other guests. Write in a place that is calm, with only others like you, working away on their projects.
The house is on the edge of the shore, in an otherwise empty cove, with the most incredible views across the Saronic Gulf. From here you can see four islands and the mountains of the Peloponnese. The word 'paradise' is mentioned by 90% of their visitors, but you will have to see it for yourself.
There are rooms at the main house with shared use of toilet and bathroom. Studios are with sea view, private bathroom, balcony, kitchen, and aircon. There are also rooms in a fully equipped sea view apartment with shared kitchen and bathroom, plus air-conditioner. Both the studios and apartment is a 15-minute walk from the main house.
They have tents in the garden near the sea. The smaller bedrooms at Limnisa have been upgraded for 2014. There is also a new pergola shading the roof terrace.
There is no program during the week only a routine, with a set time for yoga and the evening meal but extended periods for breakfast and lunch buffets. You can eat out if you prefer. Limnisa also organizes literary evenings for those who want to take part, but nothing is mandatory.
Start the day with an optional yoga class, enjoy breakfast out on the terrace, and spend the morning in silence. You might also find a shady bower down in the Limnisa garden and write to the sound of the sea.
After lunch you can go back to work or take time for swimming and walking.
In the evenings, if you prefer, you can dine in a local taverna down by the waterfront in a village nearby (1 and 3 kilometers) or go to Methana town by cab (10 kilometers along the corniche).
They also hold evening events, giving guests the chance to read their work aloud or join a camp fire on the beach.
Agios Georgios consists of about 50 houses, two tavernas in summer, a church, a harbour, and a beach. The bakers van passes by most days and a veggie van three times a week. Limnisa has its own beach. The waters are perfect for snorkeling. The countryside round about is mountainous, wild, and rugged, with mule tracks winding through olive groves. A unique and special location to be shared by creative people; mostly writers but also painters and those seeking time to step back, re-evaluate or just think in a place that is calm and serene.

Sign up for a local excursion! Perhaps to the sulfur baths, the volcano, the sunken city or a boat trip to one of the islands. Methana is nearby and it is a beautiful volcanic peninsular with a wealth of ancient sites unknown to the ordinary tourist. You can walk through olive groves, climb rocky crags, visit simple villages and swim in a clear blue sea. You might also want to go further afield, to islands like Hydra and Spetses, or visit Epidavros and Mycenae.
