Join husband and wife team, Genell and Saer Huston in the most bio-diverse place on the planet, Costa Rica’s Osa Peninsula! Take a week to deepen your yoga practice, surf, swim, and play. The joyful practice of yoga will allow you to gain a sense of awareness, appreciation, and celebration for all that you are, and all that surrounds you. You can nourish yourself by bathing your senses in bliss and feel the fullness of life in this magical ocean side jungle.
Encanta La Vida offers 9 different accommodations to choose from. During this retreat, you can choose to stay in a private room, twin room, or double room. All of the rooms have quality mattresses, mosquito netting, reading lights, fans for the bed, ample outdoor patio space, and hot water. You will enjoy the comfort of private patios and balconies set up with rockers and hammocks adding to a relaxing ambiance.
The main lodge of Encanta La Vida consists of a large open-aired kitchen and dining area, a gift shop, office, bathrooms, and a living room. You will also encounter a new pool with swim-up bar, large patio with lounge chairs, umbrella covered tables, and chairs. There are also 3 spacious outdoor patios, namely a star gazing deck, a deck overlooking the garden, and a deck with hammocks.
They also provide a yoga shala which is one of the biggest and best around. It is located on the beach under the rainforest canopy and overlooks the crystal blue waters of the “Golfo Dulce”. It is the ideal place for a unique yoga experience.
The days on the retreat move with the cycles of light and water. The timings of yoga practice, surf, and free play will shift slightly each day as they have to find optimal tides for surfing and appropriate times for practice.
Below is the typical schedule for this retreat. The days are yours to spend as you wish as all activities are optional.
Genell is a studio owner, Hatha yoga teacher, mom, dedicated partner, and keen adventurer. The practice of yoga has been inspiring her life since 1999 through movement, intention, reflection, deep study, practice, and bliss.
This retreat will be held at the Encanta La Vida retreat center and eco-lodge. The eco lodge is just a short walk through a canopied jungle and located steps away from some of the best private and pristine point break beaches for surfers of all levels.
Encanta La Vida rainforest lodge was the first lodge established in the Cabo Matapalo area of the Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica. The lodge is situated on a lush area of around 3.5 hectares, backed by the Corcovado National Park, Cabo Matapalo in the Osa Peninsula of Costa Rica.
Osa Penisula is the southern pacific coast of Costa Rica and has long been known as the remote jewel of Costa Rica. It is half protected by national park as well as local and international private reserves. It is also considered to be one of the most biologically diverse places on the planet.
Cabo Matapalo is the tip of the Osa Peninsula where Encanta La Vida is located. Cabo Matapalo is 40 minutes from Puerto Jimenez, at the mouth of the Gulfo Dulce. This area is known for the amazing concentration of wildlife combine with beautiful beaches and coves.

You will have light breakfast which consists of coffee, tea, granola, yogurt, and fresh fruit. After you have finished your yoga classes, full breakfast will be served. It will include eggs, beans, rice, avocado, tomato, and pancakes or some variation of local foods, fresh fruits, and other delicious ingredients.
For lunch, you will have another fresh and delicious meal. You also have the option to plan a boxed lunch if you wanted to be out on an adventure midday, such as Nicosse salad, flaked tuna dressed with herb vinaigrette, or blanched green beans and boiled potatoes with hard-boiled egg.
In the evening, a four-course community dinner will be held. It is your time to close off the day and enjoy another amazing meal cooked with local and fresh ingredients. The course may include hummus salad with fresh bell pepper, carrots, cucumber, and local cheese over a bed of crisp greens, black bean soup, tuna with avocado ceviche with coconut rice and roasted broccoli, and mango mousse.
The cooks can accommodate special diets and allergy restrictions. You can notify Lila East End Yoga Studio ahead of time so they can plan ahead.
You can enjoy spa at Encanta La Vida at an extra cost as your ultimate escape. The spa is located on the ground floor of their yoga facility. You can relax and listen to the waves crashing on the shores of Pan Dulce while you’re being pampered by their spa staff with raw, organic, and all natural ingredients.
The experience is therapeutic and unique. It consists of chocolate and coffee scrubs, Osa mud facials featuring healing clay harvested from the river, ylang ylang coconut milk emollients, and exotic indigenous flowers enhancing each experience.
Your luxurious spa treatments will revitalize and rejuvenate you. You can also have Thai massage or facials at an extra cost. You will come back to nature and be transformed.
