The weekly plan is to make a full ride to the Maltese archipelago and experience the beauty of the islands of Malta, Comino, and Gozo according to the meteorology conditions. During this "retreat", you will have the pleasure to visit the Blue Lagoon, one of the most beautiful bays in Malta and an excellent place to anchor and spend the night under the stars.
You will visit Fungus Rock with the stunning virgin landscape. The sea provides perfect snorkeling. Mgarr ix-Xini will also be visited. This place has long and narrow waterway leading to a beach at its extremity with a very good holding ground. The place is excellent for swimming. You will go to Gebel tal-Halfa, a beautiful little bay situated behind a large rock which provides good anchorage. The place is quite close to shelter in Mgarr Harbor should weather turn bad.
You will stop by Ramla Bay, a beautiful sandy beach in an idyllic environment. You will see clear blue waters and the dramatic cliffs of Blue Grotto. You will spend some time at Mgarr Marina, Gozo’s main harbor. The harbor is very picturesque. Mgarr is the gateway to Gozo’s romantic and unspoiled scenery.
Il-Hofra l-Kbira provides unspoiled anchorage with clean clear waters for bathing. You will find this place ideal for a leisurely day at anchor or overnight stays. You will also visit St. Paul Islet where you can have superb swimming and snorkeling here. What is most conspicuous on this island is the statue of St. Paul, where it is said the saint was shipwrecked on his way to Rome to be prosecuted in 16 A.D. This was when Malta was converted to Christianity.
Come and discover the gorgeous view of Malta yourself by sailing around in its magical waters. Feel it yourself by meditating and doing yoga. LightSailing Retreats is going to guide you in this truly Mediterranean spiritual and adventure experience. Something deep inside you starts awakening. It is love and peace.
Svetlina Family consists of 6 members:
Malta is an archipelago in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea. It is religiously, politically, culturally, and economically part of Europe, but at the same time, it is lying on the African tectonic plate and is vibrating with the vibes of the Dark Continent, mystic and secret. Malta is blessed with perfect weather and around 3,000 hours of sunshine per year. The ideal combination of sun, wind, sea, and rocks is great for sailing, yoga, meditation, and having some good time.
A long time ago, Malta was really the heaven on earth, the lost paradise, the land of the mother Goddess. On the island, you can still see magnificent temples more ancient than the pyramids in Egypt dedicated to divine femininity with floor plans which echo abundant maternal curves. One can easily imagine the concept of entering the "womb" of the temple for communion with the Goddess, and emerging "re-born" into the sunlight. Namaste, this is a true Malta magic experience.
Malta is also a "home" of the knights of Saint John, a story of Caravaggio, Saint Paul and the legend of his shipwreck and expel of the poisons snakes, Jean de la Valette, a Blue Lagoon and a Blue Grotto, home of the nymph Calypso and a lesson for the brave Odysseus, a salt ponds, tuna, great gorgeous cliffs perfect even to jump, blue crystal waters ideal for snorkeling and free diving. Malta is all this and much more.
Malta is speaking Semitic language / loud and exuberant / with a twist of English, Italian, and French influence, and once you hear this, you start feeling Phoenicia, Cartage, Ancient Greece, Byzantine, and Rome in one. The rumbling Etna and how African continent is diving below the Eurasian plate, and you see how a big snake is trying to raise up from the bowels of the earth using the fire within.
