Join Life's 2 Short Fitness for a long weekend full of fun, friendship, and adventure in Western Colorado’s wine country! Over four days, you will experience the best outdoor activities Colorado has to offer while enjoying world-class lodging at Wine Country Inn, including yoga, hiking, and SUP. Try something new, no prior experience is necessary to join any of their activities.
The Wine Country Inn is located in Palisade, Colorado, and nestled among over 21 acres of working vineyards that produce world-class grapes that are crushed and bottled as private-label wine for guests to enjoy. The Victorian-style inn is a short drive or bike ride from over twenty wineries and numerous vineyards, orchards, and farms. With spectacular views, endless amenities, and exceptional service this is the place to stay when visiting and recreating in Western Colorado!
During this holiday, you can choose to stay in a private or shared room.
You will take in the vast desert landscape of Western Colorado on foot, exploring several trails in the area over the long weekend. There will be options for all levels!
The highlight of the weekend includes a special clinic + stand-up paddle board or kayak outing on the Colorado River! You will soak in the landscape as you glide down a mild stretch of the river hopefully capturing glimpses of native wildlife including golden and bald eagles, big horn sheep, and wild horses!
After a long weekend we will un-“wine” with a biking tour of Palisade stopping at various wineries and distilleries in the area for tastings and to soak in the laid back lifestyle of this small community. You will also have the opportunity to grab some fresh produce, honey and other items produced in the area by local farmers and ranchers.
An expert local instructor will guide you through a SUP yoga session for all levels designed to relax, energize, and empower you. There will also be a sunrise mat yoga class.
Note: Special SUP equipment is necessary for the river SUP including a class III PFD, quick-release leash, and flex fins. There will be a discount if you bring your own SUP however you will need to rent the river-specific equipment.

Rachel so excited to connect yoga to nature by bringing mindfulness and strong technique from the classroom to the outdoors! For years, she has found personal fulfilments through activities like running, biking, hiking, swimming, golfing and paddle boarding. Yoga, however, has created a connection between mind and body that has helped her appreciate whole body wellness. She is passionate about bringing this same level of appreciation to every individual and work. She began her yoga journey in 2017, completing her 200-hour RYT certification.
Amanda Jensen (she/her) is a "type II fun" enthusiast who moved to Colorado in 2012. After trail running on her own for more than a decade, she joined L2S trail running training club for mid-COVID motivation and found it in beautiful scenery and a wonderful community. Amanda is an environmental professional who especially loves natural history, all things water and gummi bears. In addition to trailblazing with L2S, Amanda is a Stand Up Paddling instructor (PSUPA) and a YTT 200 Hr yoga instructor. She has two feral kids and (by comparison) two moderately well behaved dogs.
