The goal is simple, to remain healthy and as pain-free as long as possible.

The accommodation is arranged at the Magnific Rock. Perched on a 30-meter cliff face, Magnific Rock offers guests an unparalleled experience with a variety of accommodation options, a beautiful restaurant and bar, yoga, surf activities, and the best views of Popoyo's best surf breaks like Popoyo Outer Reef, Popoyo River Mouth, and Santana's. Amenities include an onsite bar with live music, swimming pool, surf boards and paddle boards for rent, laundry service, and outdoor shower.

Kaiut yoga consists of subtle movements that work to ease the body’s aging process. It is an approach to yoga that specializes in treating injuries, chronic pain, stiffness, and even hyper flexibility. The goal is to remain healthy and as pain-free as long as possible. This is the central approach to Kaiut yoga. It is a system and methodology that pays close attention to each individual body. It works for students of all ages, abilities, and degrees of mobility.

Kaiut yoga is truly a yoga for every body. You will experience the deep healing effects of Kaiut yoga on your body and mind. There will be two classes per day, one in the morning and one in the evening. Each class is structured to accommodate all types of bodies at any age. While the twice daily classes are purely experiential in nature, there will be at least two workshops that will provide you the opportunity to learn about the method and how it works to bring relief to your body.

Quite simply, the goal of the retreat is to heal. Healing is anything that helps you live more comfortably in your body and bring you closer to inner peace. You will return home with a renewed sense of youth along with insights to enhance your own personal practice.

A catamaran cruise is included in the package.

  • Jeff Bailey

Jeff discovered yoga in 1986 in his hometown of Gunnison, Colorado. Jeff holds two 200-hour teacher certifications and a 300-hour certification. He also heads Yoga Loft's teacher training. As a trained Rolfer, he weaves structurally integrative elements into his classes that have practical off the mat applications in life. Along with his wife Lori, Jeff is the proud owner of Yoga Loft in Boulder, Colorado.

The retreat will take place in Popoyo, Nicaragua. The vast Pacific Ocean forms its western border while the balmy Caribbean Sea forms the east. It is a warm and friendly land of lakes and mountains, rivers and volcanoes, and sea and the sun. The country is divided into three geographic regions, the Pacific lowlands on the west, the mountainous Central region, and the Atlantic lowlands on the east.

The country is multi-ethnic with no official religion. Nicaragua's population is very young, 60 percent are under 17 years of age. Mestizos of mixed Indian and Spanish blood make up the majority of the population and they are the originators of Nicargua's colorful folklore, music, and much of its religious tradition.

Please pack according to the climate during the time of year you are traveling. Always bring comfortable clothes for both humid and hot conditions as well as cool mornings and evenings.

Long sleeved shirts and pants are recommended to ward off mosquitoes and layers during hikes in cloud forests or higher altitudes. Bathing suits and rain jackets are a must for most locations. Plan on bringing enough clothing to last for a seven or eight day trip. On longer trips, you will have the opportunity to do laundry. Again, more specific packing lists will be included after you sign up for a specific trip.

  • Backpack for hikes
  • Beach towel
  • Comfortable footwear for walking

Travel assistance

Life Force Project can help you in booking for the best travel and flight itineraries, hotels, restaurants, and activities during your stay in Nicaragua. Whether you choose to begin your trip at Managua or another port of entry, assistance can be provided with plans and details.

Passport / visa

For almost all of the trips, you will need a valid passport and possibly in addition, a tourist visa. Because it takes two to six months to get your passport and visa, it is important to start this process as early as possible. To obtain a tourist visa (for specific locations), please contact the appropriate consulate or embassy or visit their website to obtain application forms. In some locations, you will need to have six months of validity on your passport.

In some areas that you are traveling to, it is important to have the proper vaccinations and immunizations. Although suggestions can be given, you should visit your doctor, personal physician, or a travel health clinic as soon as you decide to go on the trip, at least four to eight weeks before your departure. This is very important as some medicines like malaria pills, will need to be taken prior to the trip for a certain amount of time.

Local expenses / money information

You will need to have money available for shopping, optional excursions, and the occasional meals that you will not eat together as a group. ATMs will be available for getting cash. Although traveler’s checks are an option, they are often difficult to use. Credit cards are accepted in most locations. Make sure to call your credit card company to let them know where you will be traveling so that they won’t cancel the card when they see a foreign transaction.

Arrival by airplane

"I truly feel so grateful that everything lined up for me to go! It was such a unique experience that could never be recreated again. I loved the location, the food, and having such experienced and knowledgeable teachers (both John and Sarah). The packets of information were a great aid to the learning and getting an aloe plant to work with definitely heightened the experience. Overall, I came back with a stronger connection to nature, myself, and the community around me. I definitely felt like I was on a higher vibration. Oh, and I love the air plant necklace."

"The entire weekend was inspiring and insightful. The retreat house was magnificent with beautiful views of the water, and a great layout to allow for group intimacy and separateness[ if desired].Jon was a compelling teacher who invited the group to embrace difficult concepts which he made accessible and understandable. He was always available for individual discussions if questions arose. I appreciated his passion and the depth of knowledge about the subject. The food was beautifully prepared and delicious. Paige, went out of her way to respond to each individual 's dietary needs and incorporate them into her menu. The attention to detail in that regard was extraordinary. The paddle boarding and kayaking made for a welcome break, and allowed members a great opportunity to metabolize the complex concepts they were integrating. The weekend flowed beautifully. It was restorative and uplifting."

"I knew David when he was in his corporate role, when he was known as the bulldog. His persistence and go get ‘em attitude served him to lead a successful real estate career. He was the guy you wanted to have a cigar and a scotch with after a long day’s work. I also had the pleasure of traveling with him through Colombia after he decided to break away from the daily grind to embark on his transformational journey. Not only was David an amazing, highly competent and engaging host, but the perseverance I saw behind the office desk transformed seamlessly into a truly inspirational soul searching guide. He’s still the guy I would like to have a cigar and a scotch with - right after a nice long yoga or meditation session."

"I began working with David as a healer and mentor. Over the years I have seen David’s unshakable commitment to working on healing himself and mastering the techniques that would serve him in passing his passion and his skills onto others. David has always been willing to dig deep within himself to get to ever greater levels of self-realization. What has emerged is an authentic, grounded and wholly compassionate individual with a true love of his life and his work and the skills and techniques to guide others through their own transformational journeys. Now I have the pleasure of working side by side with David to help him turn his dream and his work into a reality."

David is a great soul and the Life Force Project will certainly bring you one step closer towards enlightenment."
