No surprise here - 'The Dairy Barn' is, in fact, an old dairy barn! You can see remnants of the building’s original purpose in its grandiose central living space with metal beams throughout. While the silo itself is gone, the circular perch where it once sat still exists on the property.

They take their food pretty seriously at the Lazy Wellness Retreats, which is why they have a rockstar in-house chef Alex Sheppard, who plans the menus according to season, theme, and any special needs of the group.

The menu is entirely plant-based, with the exception of the s’mores (vegan option available, but for your information, regular marshmallows are not vegan). While the team is not 100% vegan on a regular basis, they believe strongly in a plant-based diet as a way to energize, nourish, and reset the body, and their hope is that you’ll take away a few tips and tricks for incorporating more plants into your diet.

Please book your flight to arrive at either LaGuardia Airport (LGA), John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), or Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR).

From any New York City airports, you can take the Amtrak or Metro North to Poughkeepsie, New York, where Lazy Wellness Retreats will arrange for your pickup at an extra cost. Alternatively, you can hire an Uber to take you all the way to the house.
