    Florence House has single, double, and triple rooms to choose from. Each of the rooms is individually decorated to create a calm space for you to enjoy a great night’s sleep. Towels and soap are provided for your stay. All bedrooms have lovely scenic views either of the Downs or the Estate.

    The beautiful interior of the house itself, the magical gardens, the proximity to the sea and the wildness of the Downs, makes Florence House an ideal location to which you can escape and rejuvenate.

    The retreat will start at 17:00 on Friday and end at 15:00 on Sunday. There will be 2 invigorating Vinyasa flow practices on this retreat. You will also practice 2 gentler and more contemplative asana practices that will include yin postures, pranayama, meditation, yoga Nidra, and relaxation that will leave you feeling deeply rested and nourished, ready to transition into autumn.

    On Sunday morning, you will venture out on a silent walk in the beautiful surrounds. Whether you're an advanced yogi or a beginner, your retreat experience will be personal, fun and you will be well supported throughout the weekend, both on and off the mat as the retreat is available for all levels.

      Lauren's yoga classes are personal, fun and varied. Anatomy and the structure of postures is key to a safe yoga practice and she provides verbal and hands-on adjustments to bring your body into better alignment, which facilitates skilled strengthening and stretching. She assesses each individual and work with all her students to realise their highest potential.

    On the brow of Seaford Head, Sussex, sits Florence House; rock solid in the sea air and surrounding wild landscape. In many ways its situation is a metaphor for life’s purpose - a haven for the spirit however the wind blows. It is a much-loved venue that embraces inspiration, the sacredness and potential of each individual and the healing power of the landscape in which it sits. The house is set in 6 acres within an area of outstanding natural beauty on the edge of the South Downs National Park and has views of Seaford Head and Seaford Head Golf Course.

    Driving directions from Worthing / Brighton

    • Travel east on A27 from Worthing / Brighton, follow signs to Newhaven / Lewes.
    • At roundabout after the rail crossing you have a choice between Lewes and Newhaven; take A26 to Newhaven / Seaford.
    • Alternatively, follow the coast road A259 from Brighton to Newhaven. In Newhaven, follow sign to the left for Seaford A259.
    • Carry on the A259 until you reach Seaford and a mini roundabout with the train station on your right hand side. Stay on the A259 going out of town in the direction of Eastbourne.
    • Look out for a church almost immediately on your right hand side and take the third turning on your right after the church, this is Southdown Road.Helpful markers to look out for at this junction are: a traffic light,red postbox and red phone box.
    • Stay on Southdown Road and go straight down the hill towards Seaford Head and the golf-course, crossing over a couple of streets.
    • At the bottom of the hill at Southdown Corner you will see a large grey house on the hill in front of you. This is Florence House.
    • Take the first gate entrance and follow it to the front door.

    Arrival by train

    • Trains from Victoria leave every 30 minutes, change at Lewes for Seaford.
    • Takes approximately 1 hour 20 minutes.
    • There will be taxis at the station.
    • Florence House is close to Seaford Head golf course.
