Laura Mason first started practicing yoga as a teenager as a part of her dance training. During her college years, she started practicing more consistently and began to really enjoy the mental and emotional benefits of yoga along with the physical benefits. When dancing, the focus is all on how things look, and that was often very hard for her, especially as a young woman. She has completed her 200-hour training in 2013 and since then have also completed advanced training in prenatal yoga, anatomy, breathing, meditation, and yoga therapy.
The lovely Roatan, a small island off the coast of Honduras, is rich with rainforest, beaches, diverse wildlife, and a unique local culture. No plans are set in stone yet, but the tentative plan for Roatan is to enjoy a morning yoga practice at a local eco-lodge and yoga center, eat some delicious Caribbean food, then explore the rainforest with an adventure like zip lining or hiking.
Costa Maya is located on the southern side of the Yucatán Peninsula and is rich with Mayan history. The area has been recently revitalized as part of the ecotourism industry that is growing throughout the region. The tentative plan for Costa Maya is to enjoy a morning Vinyasa yoga practice at Costa Maya Yoga with owner Simone, sample local cuisine, and visit local Mayan ruins in the afternoon.
An island off the coast of Mexico, Cozumel shares a lot of wonderful qualities with its neighbors in the Yucatan, yet boasts many unique attributes. Its rocky coastline is filled with reefs and diverse marine life, making it a top destination for snorkeling and diving. The tentative plan for Cozumel is to enjoy a yoga practice with a local instructor, eat delicious Mexican food, and relax by the shore to enjoy the sun or try water activities like snorkeling.
During this yoga retreat, you will be served gourmet meals which are a wide variety of delicious food, from buffet to fine dining. On shore days, you will be having lunch at a local restaurant.
You can enjoy spa treatments that are available on the cruise at an additional cost.
