The house

Imagine, around a large garden nourishing the eyes, the body, and the soul, different buildings named after trees, women, and men sharing their knowledge. Others in search of meaning and links who come to transform, discover, and experiment, Muriel, Didier, and their neighbors who offer all their talents to complete the well-being of your stay; here is a magnificent ecosystem in motion, an oasis, a cocoon.

The vocation of the place is to inspire other ways of being in a relationship with oneself, others, nature, and the world, to live on Earth differently, to dare to be a pioneer, to experiment with other skills and know-how, in joy, simplicity, sharing, gratitude, with eyes and heart wide open!

Two elegant and comfortable lounges with their bookcases filled with plenty of books on art, crafts, photography, permaculture, philosophy, and more invite you to pause, rest and reflect. The single and double rooms with shared baths are situated in the old part of the mansion.

The kitchen-veranda dining room, the garden, or the terraces will offer you the ideal ambiance to enjoy the finest homemade and vegetarian cuisine.

The garden

A long garden with an orchard, flowery field, vegetable garden, large greenhouse, and a natural swimming pool invites you to relax and leave everything behind. In the center of the four houses is the soul of the place; a nourishing Eden, a rejuvenating oasis, a protective, even healing cocoon.

For more than 100 years, behind a charming house sheltered by tall lime trees, this magnificent garden sloping gently towards the south and protected by a thick hawthorn hedge, inspired many visitors. At that time, eight long glass greenhouses housed a sun-sweetened table grape, a great tradition of the region. Numerous fruit trees and a vegetable garden ensured a certain degree of food autonomy.

The yoga and meditation room

A century-old house, "where everything is order, beauty, luxury, calm, and pleasure" as Charles Baudelaire wrote in his "Invitation Au Voyage". The yoga and meditation room is a large and bright room with wood paneling and parquet flooring will give you a wonderful space for internal and external exploration.

Workshops

During this retreat, you will enjoy workshops that are:

  • A symbiosis of the benefits of yoga and clay
  • A fusion of two worlds, with calming, soothing, and healing properties
  • An alliance of ancestral practices, to offer a means of reconnecting to your creative potential, to explore the intelligence of our bodies.

Clay

The aim of the daily clay workshops will be to find new ways of self-expression while discovering more about hand-building techniques, sculpture, and land art. You will work with different kinds of clay, only with your hands and very few tools. Every class will be given in an outside space or directly in the magnificent garden, to stimulate your imagination and to allow you to fully immerse yourself in nature.

Yoga

In the yoga classes, you will learn useful tools to ground yourself while preserving a sense of lightness and playfulness. Through strengthening and flexibility, you will cultivate deeper body awareness and learn to listen to the intelligence of your body.

Different styles of yoga such as Forrest yoga, Vinyasa flow, Hatha yoga, and Yin yoga are the base for healing sequences accessible for all levels that will help you to understand your body's needs.

A special focus on alignment and the therapeutic benefits of each pose will ameliorate your posture and help to prevent you from common pain like back and neck pain. Further to that, you will cultivate a daily meditation practice and you will learn breathing techniques to increase your concentration and to help release stress and tension.

Symbiosis of yoga and ceramic

The exploration of the symbiosis of yoga and ceramic began with a precise reflection of what these two ancient traditions mean to you. Through their own practice, by teaching and learning with and from their students, they have experienced the healing and grounding qualities of breath, movement, and contact with the material clay.

The aim of the retreat is to liberate your creative potential and reconnect to your senses through the exploration of yoga and clay. Breath is connection. Pranayama helps you to develop a deeper connection between your body and your mind. It promotes relaxation and mindfulness and supports somatic and emotional health.

Movement is life. Yoga allows exploring the different layers of your body, the physical, the mental, and the spiritual. In your daily yoga and meditation sessions, you will learn how to find a deeper sense of body awareness and discover the interrelation of motion and rest.

A therapeutical approach offers healing ways of practicing yoga and understanding the needs of the body. By building strength and flexibility, you will find an inner and outer balance to grow. Earth is grounding. The contact with clay is a direct connection to nature, it offers a grounding approach to yourselves and your surrounding.

It stimulates your haptic sensations, and your potential to focus, and teaches detachment from expectations. In the daily workshops, you will experience the purity of natural hand-dug clay and liberate your ability to create rather than produce. Nothing will be kept, liberate from the pressure of a final result.
