"Juan, Carla and his family are very welcoming into their home. There was a relaxed nature about the week, with a few fun activities to keep me busy, whilst enjoying the setting, the amazing array of animals they have, and of course playing with Juan's four gorgeous girls! The yoga was fantastic, at times challenging yet so rewarding, taking me into deep relaxation and connection with my body and mind. Las Tierras de Avalon would be a great place to take children as well, there is so much exploring to do around the garden! Also Juan is fantastic teacher, especially with children and sharing his yoga with them!"

"We stayed for one week at Las Tierras and felt very much welcomed by the whole family. Juan, Carla and the girls were very sweet and open-minded. The houses and the garden are just beautiful, with ducks, a pony, lamas, dogs, a cat ...like a little oasis. Juan is a very good yoga teacher and we love the great vegetarian food. The work was fun: helping in the garden, in the kitchen or just playing with the kids. Las Tierras de Avalon is not a remote "retreat" - there is always something going on with four kids and three dogs running around. For us it was even some kind of adventure - as it took us some courage to live with all the insects. True Hippies - go there."

"I had the best time at Las Tierras de Avalon. The combination of the warm family, the excellent yoga classes and the peaceful environment made it the perfect stay for me. Juan, Carla and the children made me feel part of the family from day one and I loved to hang out with them, talk about the country, yoga, etc and play with the children. The yoga classes are great, really relaxing but also challenging at the same time. Juan pays attention to every individual in the class, which is impressive with his popular classes with about 15 people. Also, the location and environment are so peaceful and relaxing. Literally all you see is green and animals."
"The yoga retreat was fabulous! It was a real authentic experience. I really felt welcomed into the family and participated in feeding the animals, helping to care for the children, gardening, cooking, and of course, yoga! The yoga was adapted to my level and started slow and then Juan continually challenged me with new poses."
"My experience here was amazing. Having been no stop at work for long time I decided to do something different but rewarding and Las Tierras de Avalon did both in many ways. Firstly I like to say that this is run by the most beautiful family, all loving to there guest to let them feel like one off the tribe. If needed, something's just asked nothing was too much was warm and lovely environment to be in.The yoga was great, being a beginner, Juan helped me at every stage and really pushed me my first class head stands and hand stands which was great the class's where full of different people at different levels just showed what Juan and Carla have built by sharing there home .Being a working retreat there always things to be done and taken care off from chopping wood to starting a fire, watering the fruit trees to feeding the animals. But for me and my experience, I enjoyed every minute from the helping around the house to playing with the children, to having singing sessions with Jasmine and Juan. I advise anyone wanting to take a few steps back from the hustle and tussles off life to visit Argentina and spend some time here, you will leave mentally refreshed."
"I stayed at Las Tierras de Avalon between 12 and 18 January 2015 as the start of two months of travelling in Argentina. I planned my stay at the yoga retreat at the beginning of my trip so I could first take a good rest, relax, and to get used to the idea that I had two pretty unstructured holiday months ahead of me. We had a yoga class every day, with a lot of variation and sometimes we could also request for instance a more Dynamic yoga. I was a beginner but I was always able to participate. When relevant, Juan explained that there were three options for a specific position, depending on the level of everyone participating. For the first time in my life I did a handstand and a headstand, all in small steps and with good support from Juan. On Saturday we also had a clase de tela where we could try and practice some basics of acrobatics.During the week at Las Tierras I was also able to practice Spanish. Juan organized a Spanish class every day and we practiced in a playful way with recipes, yoga books and Spanish scrabble. Juans wife Carla organized an art class and aromatherapy during the week which was both educational and interesting. The meals I had at Las Tierras were among the best I had during my stay in Argentina. All fresh herbs and vegetables, most of them from the garden, healthy and tasteful. We often had dinner together with Juans family and that made me feel like I was at home. During my first days at Las Tierras it was difficult to let go of home and structure and it is great to have such loving and wonderful people around you that take care of you."
