During your retreat, you will be staying in Rudding Park Hotel & Spa with the options of private room and twin room. Follifoot Wing

Follifoot Wing features a super king size bed or twin beds, with 36 meter per square feet. Twin beds will be provided for shared accommodation. Modern and bright, the rooms feature bespoke furniture and contemporary art. Some rooms have access onto a private terrace or balcony overlooking the gardens. It also has a 40 inch flat screen television, free Wi-Fi, media hub, air conditioning, bathroom underfloor heating, roll top bath, and Molton Brown toiletries.

Ribston Wing

Ribston Wing features a king size bed or twin beds, with 26 meter per square feet. Twin beds will be provided for shared accommodation. Ribston Wing rooms are traditional and retain the style of the hotel with luxury fabrics. The en-suite bathroom has a bath with an overhead shower and Molton Brown toiletries. It also has a 32 inch flat screen television, free Wi-Fi, media hub, air conditioning, and a desk.

On this retreat, you can enjoy beautiful Rudding Park in Harrogate and experience a weekend unwinding, rebalancing, and de-stressing through yoga, meditation, deep relaxation, and healthy food.

This nurturing and high quality retreat is the chance to make some positive changes to your overall well-being and stress levels, to allow for greater health and renewal. You will also get the chance to develop greater inner and outer strength through Restorative and Vinyasa flow based yoga with Lara.

Balance, stress, and anxiety workshop with Ali Stiff

In this workshop, there will be talk about the science of stress and how it is in-built in you to react in a flight or fight mode. Learn about how anxiety and stress manifests differently in everyone and what your triggers are. Develop some coping techniques so you can adopt them as soon as you feel you are developing the signs of stress, to bring you back into a more balanced state.

Ali Stiff is a fully qualified yoga instructor and personal trainer. She combines her love of fitness and nutrition to offer wellness mentoring. With her clients, she develops a whole body and mind approach to lifestyle change. She also works in schools with teens using sports to build self-confidence and develop their stress management skills.

Gong sound bath

Experience an immersive sound therapy experience. Gong baths are deeply relaxing, they also allow your body to heal itself on a physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual level. The resonance and vibration caused by gongs can cut through your analytical mind and mind chatter, enabling your intuitive and creative side to flourish. When the mind is still, repair on a cellular level allow deep healing to take place.

Answers to long held questions can be answered whilst in this meditative state as your consciousness is raised. In the safe hands of expert Julie Cooper from Dragonfly Sound Therapy, you will leave in a deeply relaxed state of mind for a peaceful nights’ sleep.


Enjoy two morning meditation sessions that will help you feel grounded and clear. A 30-minute seated morning practice either on the spa roof top or in the studio, will allow you to start the day in a focused and calm state. These will be perfect for beginners and experienced meditators alike. Meditation is a powerful form of relaxation to help reduce stress and anxiety.

According to neuroscientists, your brain reshapes itself as you continue to meditate, even though you are not aware of it. Mindfulness meditation activates the “rest and digest” part of your nervous system which helps with stress management. This is a powerful practice for both beginners and those more experienced, leaving you with clarity and peace of mind for the day ahead.


Dive into four in-depth yoga sessions with Lara Darby, exploring various types of yoga, to encourage a sense of restoration and renewal of energy levels. Lara is an experienced, knowledgeable, and passionate yoga teacher with a detailed knowledge of stress-management and how to restore a burnt-out system. By the end of the weekend, you will have learnt how to listen to your body and what it needs to restore the balance to feeling rejuvenated and vibrant.

Throughout the weekend, Lara will use the power of Do-Terra organic essential oils to aid the body to relax and renew. Types of yoga you will be engaging in are Restorative yoga, yoga Nidra, core-strength Vinyasa yoga, and Yin yoga.

Daily schedule

The retreat begins 13th October with a welcome meeting at 5:30 p.m. and ends on Sunday, 15th October with a closing ceremony which finishes at 12:30 p.m. These are your arrival and departure dates. If you wish to use the spa on Sunday, 15th October, you will have to book via spa reception for an additional fee.

  • 17:30 Welcome meeting. Your chance to meet everyone on the break, and instructor Lara, who will explain the weekend and answer any questions you may have. You will also fill out relevant consultation forms.
  • 18:00 Introductory Restorative yoga practice and yoga Nidra (deep yogic sleep)
  • 20:00 Vegetarian group banquet in the beautiful Clocktower Bar & Grill Private Dining area


  • 07:45 Group meditation and mindfulness session. Outdoor on the spa roof top if the weather permits.
  • 8:15 Delicious Yorkshire breakfast in Horto Cafe
  • 10:00 Energizing Vinyasa yoga flow with Lara and De-Stress Workshop with Ali
  • 12:30 Lunch optional in spa restaurant
  • 13:00 Free time. Your time to relax as you wish using the spa retreat which includes 50 min spa treatment and full use of facilities. Optional additional treatment and use of the exclusive sensory basement area
  • 17:00 Restorative yoga. Forward Bends Focus. A slow, restorative style practice designed to release tension in the mind as well as body to leave you calm and relaxed. You will explore floor-based postures, calming approaches to the breath (pranayama), and guided relaxation.
  • 18:30 Dinner on your own or with your new friends from a bespoke menu from the Clocktower Bar & Grill.
  • 20:00 Gong Sound Bath with Dragonfly Sound Therapy

During this retreat, you will be served with daily breakfast and dinner. Other dietary requirements can be accommodated as the chefs at Rudding Park are experienced at accommodating for all types of allergies and dietary requirements. Please notify Lara Darby Yoga in advance. Both Horto and Clocktower restaurants serve modern British food taking inspiration from local producers, products, and suppliers within a 75 mile radius.

Rudding Park Kitchen Garden grows over 100 different herbs, salads, edible flowers, and fruits, including uncommon heritage varieties, which allow the chefs use to create dishes packed full of flavor. Each morning, enjoy a delicious and nutritious breakfast from the Horto Spa restaurant. Choose from healthy options, with artisan coffee and tea including local sourced Yorkshire produce, where the highly-trained staff can personally cater for all your dietary requirements.

Dinner on Friday night will be located in the private dining room at the beautiful Clocktower Bar & Grill, where you can get to know your new retreat friends and share a delicious three course vegetarian meal created by Rudding Park’s chefs. Saturday evening dinner will be held in the Clocktower Bar & Grill where you can choose whether to dine as a group or as individuals for some extra quiet time.

You will also be able to choose from a bespoke vegetarian menu. Lunches are available to purchase at either Horto Cafe or Clocktower Bar & Grill. Juices, smoothies, and drinks are available at an additional cost throughout your stay.

How to get there

Driving directions from M1/M62

  • From the M1 or M62 (M621) in Leeds follow the A61 Harrogate signs.
  • At the roundabout with the A658 (Bradford/York Road) follow the brown tourist signs to Rudding Park (three miles).

Driving directions from A1(M)

  • Exit the A1(M) at Junction 47 signposted Harrogate, Knaresborough.
  • Take the exit off the roundabout on to the A59.
  • For the next four consecutive roundabouts, take the second exit signposted Bradford.
  • After the fourth roundabout follow the brown tourist signs to Rudding Park.

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Leeds Bradford Airport (LBA).

Arrival by train

Rudding Park has excellent communications by rail. Harrogate Railway Station is within three miles, whilst Pannal Railway Station is only 2.5 miles away and can be reached in just over five minutes by road.

Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 50% of the total price.
  • The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid 21 days before arrival.
