Tim left his home at Dublin when he was 18 years old to become a Krishna monk, which was initially a bit of a shock to his family but now everyone is happy. He trained at Bhaktivedanta Manor temple near London and then lived in the temple on Inish Rath Island for eight years. While in the temple, he studied Vedic philosophy from the ancient Sanskrit texts such as the Bhagavad Gita and the Bhagavat Purana, plus he learned kirtan-yoga and sacred chant music.
Chrissie is originally from Germany, though she has a sweet Irish accent. She is a yoga teacher and a tour guide. She sometimes travels around Ireland to assist German-speaking tourists with their holiday. But back in Fermanagh, she shares her unique yoga tips during the retreats. She was trained in Doi Saket, Thailand, with a school which traces its lineage back to Paramahamsa Madhavadasji in the line of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.

Daily meals and complimentary herbal teas are provided.
All food is vegetarian and extremely tasty, cooked with love. Meals are prepared fresh on the day. Everything is vegetarian - no meat, fish or eggs. Most preparations are vegan (dairy-free). The food is a combination of Indian vegetarian (e.g. samosas, curries, basmati rice, etc, etc.) and 'Western' vegetarian (e.g. pizza, salads, pasta, soups, etc).
They cater to any special diets for allergies and intolerances.
In case you're a yogi, Vaishnava or someone familiar with a 'sattvic' diet, they don't use the following ingredients: onions, garlic, mushrooms, vinegar and alcohol. In Ayurveda these ingredients may be prescribed for medicinal or other uses, but are not generally consumed by Hatha or Bhakti yogis. If that sounds 'restrictive' then you might find you have a lot to learn about non-European cookery!
They have a polytunnel and a vegetable garden for growing their food. During the growing season, they use their own organic potatoes, carrots, courgettes, peppers, corns, tomatoes, beetroots, cucumbers, French beans, and some herbs in preparing the dishes.
Treatments are available for an additional charge.

Please book your flight to arrive at Dublin Airport (DUB), Belfast International Airport (BFS), or George Best Belfast City Airport (BHD). Both Dublin and Belfast are a similar distance by road from the retreat centre.
If you are not hiring a car, then Dublin may be the most convenient airport destination. Five times a day a Bus Eireann coach (the national operator) goes through the airport and brings passengers to Belturbet (the small town closest to them in the Rep. of Ireland). Ground staff at the airport will assist you to find the location of the bus stop, which is a 4-mins walk from the main exit of the airport building (specifically you want Zone 13, Stop 12, Route 30). You're looking for the bus with 'Donegal' as its end destination. Tickets are 30 EUR return to Belturbet. The coach at 12:50pm is the time most convenient to you for arriving at the retreats, in general.
in Belfast there are two airports, Belfast City and Belfast International. If you fly into Belfast you'll need to get into the city centre to take a coach from Belfast Europa coach station.
From Dublin take the Donegal line from the main (and only) coach station in Dublin city centre (Busárus). Ask for a ticket to Belturbet. The journey takes about 2hrs 30mins. From Belturbet, you need a taxi.
From Belfast, there are Ulsterbus coaches every hour from Belfast to Enniskillen. You get off at Maguiresbridge, about 12 miles before Enniskillen. Then you can take a taxi.
Via the Republic of Ireland: Local taxi services or call Michael or Seamus. If you arrive on the Bus Eireann coach at Belturbet, the car journey to Lake Isle Retreats near Inish Rath Island costs about 20 EUR. They suggest you phone that morning to make a provisional booking. Almost 2 hours after leaving Dublin, the coach stops in Cavan town for a 5 mins break. From the moment this bus departs again you may like to phone the taxi and tell him where you are. He'll know you'll arrive in Belturbet after 15-mins. It can be a good idea to pre-book the taxi the day before. Give an approximate arrival time in Belturbet. The actual arrival time on the day will tend be 10 or 20 mins later than what is on the bus schedule, and the taxi driver will want you to phone from Cavan Town again.
Via Northern Ireland: If you arrive on a coach from Belfast the journey from Maguiresbridge to the retreat near Inish Rath Island will cost about 22 EUR sterling.
You can contact Gerry for a taxi from Enniskillen (or he can go to collect you from Maguiresbridge).
