A retreat is a time to move inwards and withdraw from that which does not serve you. A time to gather yourselves, let go, and create space for your bodies to thrive and your minds to be still in presence. The result is a sense of natural joy and well-being.
The literal translation for the Sanskrit word 'yoga' is 'yoke'. To come to the center, the core of your being. Another way to look at it is the unification of mind and body as one interconnected whole or as the joining self with the natural state.
These retreats are aimed towards individuals, couples, or close friends who want time away to come back home to themselves and once again be 'moved by life.' You will be practicing in a stunning location to create more space both inside and out.
You do not need any previous yoga experience and equally, it is fine if you do. Fun is top of the list and hopefully going home with some new resources that benefit both body and mind. When you build a relationship with your own body, you are more available to build a healthy relationship with life.

Sarah has been teaching Hatha and Vinyasa yoga for 13 years now and practicing for over 20 years. She is so pleased to be able to create these glamping yoga retreats based in the stunning Lake District National Park. With the shepherd's huts at Rydal Hall and yoga space in a magnificent pine woodland with mountainous views, Sarah really does believe everyone will get the best of both the landscape and internal space for the practice.

Your venue for the yoga workshops is very special indeed. Set in a private 9-acre pine forest in Grasmere with incredible views over to the 'Lion and the Lamb', they have a 24-foot yurt specifically designed to keep you warm in any British weather. Throughout your practice, you will see only the woodland trees, mountain views, maybe a red squirrel, or the sound of an occasional owl.
The package includes access to their breakfast hamper and snack bars and teas/coffees.
Please be aware that there are self-catering facilities in the hut or a range of places to go and eat in both Grasmere and Rydal. Alternatively, you can pop down to the Badger Bar for dinner which is a 5 min walk from the huts. Remember to book a table in advance if you are arriving late and bring a head torch for walking back as there is no light pollution.
