Lake District Yoga Holidays yoga classes cater for anyone, from those who have never tried yoga before to those yogis out there who cannot fit in enough practice. In addition to yoga, Lake District Yoga Holidays have chosen their favourite outdoor activities and they hope you will find something that will tick all of your boxes.

Lake District Yoga Holidays run fell hikes with qualified mountain leaders to ensure you get the best views, and they offer a range of water and land activities. You will be hosted by Tim and Meda, who together share a lifetime of passion and experience in health and fitness.

Tim is a born and bred Cumbrian, and developed a passion for the fells as a youngster, inspiring him towards a formal alpine training course in Switzerland. Later, Cumbria became the perfect training ground for a career in the Royal Marines. Lakes were swum, mountains climbed, and fells run across.

Further formal mountain training came with the RM during a Scottish winter, then in Albania and Cold Weather training in Norway. Maintaining full fitness is a professional necessity, and he recently found yoga to be the perfect antidote to a long term back injury, crediting it with getting him back to full fitness, and now practices it on a daily basis (in an amateur fashion!).

Meda is an epidemiologist by training, with an interest in the link between chronic disease and lifestyle factors, specifically diet and physical activity. She has always been passionate about improving the population's health and has an extensive experience of working and volunteering in communities in this sense.

Meda is currently researching the role of diet and physical activity in cancer prevention and progression. In her spare time, Meda shares a passion for fitness, with running cycling, swimming, barre, and yoga being on the weekly agenda.

Arrival by train

There are trains from Manchester Airport (MAN) to Windermere which is 20 minutes drive away. Taxis can be pre-booked and will take you from Windermere to the location for approximately 30 GBP or 40 GBP, depending on arrival time.

Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 50% of the total price.
  • The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid 30 days before arrival.
