You will be accommodated at Villa Amatista in Tinajo, Lanzarote, Las Palmas, Spain. All the studio / apartments are designed individually with their own colorful, charming character. Most have their own patios with outdoor seated space, en-suite bathroom, and kitchenette.

Amatista Retreat Center is an inspiring and tranquil haven set in the unspoiled countryside and vineyards of La Geria Natural Park. The harmonious and peaceful atmosphere that supports inner and outer transformation makes it ideal for retreats, groups, workshops, and training of many kinds. The beautiful workshop space has a wooden floor, use of stereo and speakers and opens onto the pool area with spectacular views of the Fire Mountains.

It sleeps up to 20 people and its facilities include six small houses, studios, and one yurt; a workshop space (70 square meters); a solar heated swimming pool; alternative therapies; organic gardens with fruit trees, vegetables, and aloe vera; solar panels, water recycling, and composting; and free internet Wi-Fi access. The central location makes it the perfect base for exploring this magical island. The secluded country setting and Amatista's excellent facilities make it a wonderful place for peaceful holidays as well as courses and groups.

This retreat welcomes all levels of practitioners. Ladan Soltani, your instructor, always has a mixture of people attending. Ladan can cater for beginners to advanced. The style of yoga varies too as Ladan has trained in quite a few disciplines, such as Sivananda (Hatha style ) and Ashtanga. She really works with the feel of the group and meets the needs and requirements of her class participants at that moment, adapting with modifications or more challenging versions of the postures for those who want the option.

Each morning, you’ll start the day with a yoga class followed by a healthy, vegetarian brunch using locally, produced organic food, prepared by one of the Islands top chefs. All dietary requirements can be catered for.

The evening sessions will be varied such as Yin yoga, yoga Nidra, breath work ( pranayama ), guided meditation, sound healing and a yoga workshop for core strength and back care, then you can enjoy a delicious dinner.

There will be plenty of time between the morning and evening sessions to explore the wonders of this Island and learn about history. Alternatively, you can stay at the Villa and take a relaxing massage or peacefully read a book by the solar panel, heated swimming pool.

This is the perfect opportunity for solo travelers to make friends and meet like-minded people.

  • After passing through “San Bartolomé” you come to a roundabout, on the other side of which is the tall white “Monumento del Campesino” (one of the first works of Cesar Manrique showing clearly the influence of Picasso and Cubism). Take the second exit to “Tinajo and Mozaga.”
  • At the next roundabout, take the second exit to "Tinajo”.
