      Wonderful retreat

PROS The people I met were great. The location was very nice. Ladan, the yoga instructor, was excellent. I felt pushed but it was within my capabilities as a novice to yoga. This was my first yoga retreat and it really was an amazing experience. I am looking forward to going on my next one.

"A retreat with my Ladan invites to you enjoy time with a lovely group of like minded people in a safe and supportive space with a teacher who both supports and gentle challenges you. She takes huge care to ensure that the chosen venue matches the intent of the practice and shares her personal experiences in a way that is highly relatable. Her expertise as a yoga teacher is evident and extensive so she meets the intellectual, emotional and spiritual needs of her students in every way. The retreat is fun, challenging and hugely rewarding leaving you with a deep sense of calm and know that it was time well invested. Laden creates a space of certainty and safely enabling her students to push and trying out new and different practices which has enabled me to leave feeling that I have learnt more about myself and that I want more. Thank you so much for the diversity of what you shared and created for us."

"I had the best Easter I've had in a long time! I was with my best friend staying at a beautiful venue Gaunts House in Dorset doing yoga and meditation for the first time ever with a great teacher Ladan Soltani. Met some lovely people which is a bonus too. Ladan has a way of making a class teaching feel like a personal experience. Ladan is patient and understanding and managed to cater for the whole class despite it being of totally mixed levels, which isn't easy but she managed it with such ease. I find it amazing. I'm really looking forward to going on another retreat with Ladan. It's so hard to find a good teacher and very important too. So I would like to say a great big thank you to Ladan Soltani!"

"After an eight year hiatus from yoga, I decided to throw myself back in with Ladan's Easter Retreat at Gaunts House in Dorset. Ladan as a teacher was wonderful, taking the time to correct, coach and inspire. The meditation was an unexpected delight, the location was perfectly peaceful and best of all, being surrounded by like minded people sharing the same goals and ideals. I started the retreat feeling exhausted and stagnant and left feeling calm, relaxed and re energised. I would highly recommend and I will definitely be going on another this year."

"I took a leap and signed up for the Easter retreat at Gaunt's house not really knowing what to expect. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I met a lot of like minded, interesting, and inspiring people. Ladan is an excellent yoga teacher, who provided modifications and corrections to our practice as required during the sessions. I felt that I was pushed to stretch myself, but within the limits of my capabilities. This was my first yoga retreat and I am already thinking about the next one. We did different types of yoga sessions and each one was challenging in different ways. I came away feeling relaxed, happy, and would recommend one of Ladan's retreats to anyone who has an open mind about experiencing something like this."

"I so enjoyed my second retreat with Ladan. As a teacher, she combines quiet authority with a playful lightness of touch; she has a wonderful knack of encouraging you to go just that little bit further than you thought you were capable of – and then further again, until you’re surprised and delighted by what you’ve been able to achieve. I even did a headstand for the first time in my life – and if you’d told me at the start of the weekend that I’d willingly give it a go, I wouldn’t have believed you. When I arrived on the Friday, my body was feeling slow, old and tired. By the end of the weekend, I felt like I’d been oiled from the inside out, and was basking in a sense of pleasurable, spacious calm for the first time in months. Some of that, of course, is down to a lovely weekend in the quiet beauty of the Dorset countryside. But a lot of it is down to Ladan’s graceful, mindful and playful teaching – and I’m hugely grateful to her for that!"

"Ladan is a rare combination: she is both a powerful, spiritual guide and teacher and also a thoroughly down-to-earth, gracious, warm and friendly human being. As someone who’s far from being a natural yogi, and can find “yoga wonks” a bit offputting, I found her approach refreshingly straightforward – but also motivating. She convinced me to try things I felt might be beyond me, and as a result I surprised myself as to what I could achieve – and I feel a lot better for it! As a group leader, she has great presence, but she is refreshingly un-gurulike outside the group room. I thoroughly enjoyed my retreat with her, and can recommend her wholeheartedly to anyone who wants to dip their toes (or more) into the delights of yoga!"

"Ladan’s New Year retreat was absolutely amazing! I feel rejuvenated and more at peace with myself. Going on Ladan’s retreat made me realise that I need to give myself the gift of time out from working non-stop and around the clock on my business. Ladan is a special teacher; she practices what she preaches, is very knowledgeable about the yoga philosophy and imparts knowledge that’s both accessible and digestible for yogis and non-yogis alike. She has a quintessential style, warmth and delectable sense of humour that sets her apart from other yoga teachers. Another thing that sets Ladan in a league above the rest is that she teaches with care and compassion for her students. This is so refreshing because I’ve attended so many classes around London where teachers lack experience, are very cold and detached and come in and do a bog-standard class. Ladan has an unique way of tuning in and modifying her teaching to her yogis’ needs and energy levels. I’d highly recommend Ladan’s retreats. She’s a real diamond and a true yogi who's following her purpose to help others live healthy, pain free lives."

"Thank you again for a very special retreat. Ladan is a wonderful yoga teacher and retreat host. Her approach is always thoughtful and supportive. She is extremely knowledgable about the discipline of yoga and embodies it's teachings. She shares her knowledge and experience and enables all participants to move forwards in their practice, whatever level they are at. She combines the yoga practice with meditation, breathing techniques and other yoga practices, providing a challenging physical and mental practice. I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience of her Easter and Christmas retreats this year and would highly recommend her. I feel extremely grateful to have gained this opportunity to enjoy a retreat with her."

Your perfectly guided the sessions although we were a group with different levels of yoga experience and you could supply guidance to everyone. With in depth knowledge of yoga philosophy and experience of anatomy in regards of practical questions you are a highly qualified mentor in the terrain of yoga, I would recommend you workshops to anyone! Thank you so much for your energy, your guidance, your preparations, your thoughtfulness and your kindness."

Over the New Year we had a great mix of yoga classes, guided meditation, country walks, a gong bath and even bubbles at midnight!. We were well fed throughout the weekend and met some great people. Ladan puts a lot of effort into designing a retreat to suit all levels and styles, and adds a personal touch to ensure everyone enjoys the weekend. I thoroughly recommend them and have been on more than one retreat myself! "

I thought I'd get more out of the meditation than the yoga as I hadn't practiced yoga for a while but with Ladan's excellent guidance and careful explanations and adaptions I managed to surprise myself. I even did a couple of poses that I haven't managed for years thanks to Ladan's gentle but encouraging coaching style. Ladan also knows how to make things fun. What a lovely week!"

"A wonderful escape from all at this beautiful retreat in Tuscany. As a novice yogi I was a little intimidated at the thought of going on a weeks yoga retreat and leaving behind my family for the first time in years to do something just for me. With yoga every morning and meditation every evening I was nervous as I was only a once a week yogi but any fears were quickly calmed on arrival as everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The venue couldn't have been more perfect in idyllic Tuscan countryside with wonderful fresh homemade Italian vegetarian food every evening washed down with red wine grown on the estate. The hosts entertained us as though we were family members. A wonderful place to unwind and gather your thoughts whilst challenging your body and your mind to stretch and release any tension from your working and daily life. Ladan is one of the best yoga teachers I have personally come across, spiritual yet grounded and encouraging at all levels whether beginner or experienced yogi to fulfill and exceed your own expectations. A fabulous experience all round and I've made some great friends along the way."

"Wonderful teacher! I was an absolute beginner when I started my yoga classes with Ladan a year ago. I am slowly improving, little by little, thanks to Ladan's wonderful teaching, encouragement & the lovely, safe atmosphere she creates in the studio. Ladan has a talent to make every one in her Yoga classes feel welcome & important. She knows everyone names, gently adjusts all her yogis, both demonstrates & explains equally and starts and ends the class with a short meditation and mantras which always calm me & make me smile. I often think about some of the wise words outside of the class. The class has the perfect balance of being body focused and spiritual. It is a testament to Ladan that my class only seems to increase in size - no one ever seems to leave! Come rain or shine every one makes the effort to attend her weekly yoga classes in Ealing. I consider my class a real treat. No matter how frazzled I am when I enter the studio or how hard I find some of the postures during the class, for some reason I always float out of the studio feeling super happy and energized!"

"Amazing yoga teacher. I can’t even put into words how grateful I am to have met Ladan and attended her yoga classes. She’s a very genuine and authentic person and her lovely personality really shines through in her teaching. Every week is different, you never get bored, you learn a lot of different things, and she is always here to answer questions and give individual help. She also helped me so much during my teacher training by allowing me to assist her yoga classes. She trusted me giving hands-on adjustments to her yogis and I would not be where I am today without her invaluable help and advice. It’s no wonder she has so many regular students, she’s just amazing!"

"Ladan is an excellent teacher. I have tried different yoga teachers before and Ladan is the only one who inspires me to come back every week. She is very passionate about what she teaches and every week I come away feeling so much better in my body and more positive in my mind. It's not always easy but she really helps you to improve, by making little adjustments, and at the end, there is a definite sense of achievement. I would recommend her classes to anyone. They are fantastic!"

"What I value most about Ladan's classes is the way that her yoga knowledge and caring manner develops a strong sense of trust between herself and the participants. Her classes are challenging in a supportive and encouraging way, where you know you're in a safe environment to try new poses or stretch yourself further in familiar ones."

"Thanks so much for a great weekend Ladan. Brazier's park was beautiful, the food and company were great, and the yoga was fantastic. I learned so much, not only about the yoga but about myself. A great way to rest, relax, recuperate, and get a new perspective to your life."

"It was wonderful. I missed it as soon as we walked out the door. The words "Decelerate To Accelerate" come to mind. And loved the feeling of being in a group when meditating!"

"I have been practicing yoga for the past 2 years with Ladan and I can honestly say that I would recommend Ladan's workshops to anyone, no matter what your age, experience or background. I started out as an absolute novice 2 years ago with the aim of trying to improve my balance and posture and can safely say that I have progressed and improved in these areas, as well as on the spiritual side of things with meditation which was an added bonus as this was not something I expected to get exposure to. Ladan is highly knowledgeable in both her yoga teachings and has a calm reassuring nature about how she teaches individuals both through demonstrations, bodily adjustments, and meditation from novice up to advanced yoga levels, which I appreciate given that when I look back at the last 2 years I feel that I have made some real progress thanks to her."
