Enjoy a weekend getaway to Boquete, Panama filled with energizing yoga practice, hiking, sightseeing, and other adventures! During this retreat, you will be able to choose if you would like to stay in a budget shared dorm room shared by eight persons, a private queen room with shared bath, or a private deluxe room with a private bath. There is an outdoor kitchen and social area with pizza oven and small fire pit, hammocks, on-site honor bar, and convenience pantry, relaxing lounge area with comfy couches, NetFlix on television, board games, multiple dining areas both outdoors and indoors, a "leave one, take one" library with cozy reading areas, free laundry (you must supply the detergent), and free bikes (a deposit is required).
Depending on day of arrival, the itinerary is subject to change (just days being switched around to fit availability of tours/yoga classes)
Single/Solo Retreat bookings may experience some of the excursions by themselves. Groups of 4+ will include the Boca Chica Island Day trip (only available for group bookings).
Mamie is a Yoga Alliance certified instructor who moved to Boquete in January, 2016 from Fort Lauderdale, Florida with her husband Greg and greyhound, Floyd to follow their dreams and opened La Jungla Experience hostel. Another dream recently fulfilled was completing yoga teacher training as Mamie has been a yoga enthusiast for 20 years and originally sought out yoga to help strengthen, stretch, and heal her body during and after her college basketball years.
This retreat will take place in Boquete, Panama.
During this retreat, you will be served daily delicious breakfasts. Your breakfast typically includes coffee, tea, make-your-own-pancakes, syrup, cinnamon, honey, etc., and sometimes a bit more, such as fruit, bacon, french toast, etc.. Lunch will be served on certain days. Dinner is not included, but there will be a full kitchen available for you to prepare meals, and Boquete also has a large selection of restaurants available.
Please let La Jungla Experience know if you have special dietary restrictions. Although they cannot guarantee that they can cater to every special need, they are always willing to listen and try. Please contact them prior to your arrival so they can prepare and practice, if necessary, for your circumstances.

When you are ready for a break from the non-stop eco-tourism, Boquete is also home to many exquisite dining establishments including a micro brewery, cultural events such as jazz fest, a unique shopping district, including art galleries, gardens, and boutique shops, and relaxing time outs such as massages, spas, and the famous library.

From Boquete, head south along the main road of Via Boquete towards David. Drive for approximately five kilometers (three miles) and look carefully for the red-roofed, A-frame house with the hot pink bench out front on the left side. They are across the street from a large seminary.
From the town of David, head north towards Boquete along the main road of Via Boquete. Drive for approximately 40 kilometers until you reach Alto Boquete and look for the hot pink bench on your right, in front of a red-roofed, A-frame house. Turn right into the gravel driveway. If you see Ivan's Supermercado/Ferreteria, you have gone too far! La Jungla Experience is across the street from a large seminary.
Please book your flight to arrive at Enrique Malek International Airport (DAV). Transfer from and to this airport is available upon request, for an additional fee of 30 USD.
You can also take a bus from downtown Boquete to Alto Boquete for less than a dollar. Please note that once you are on the bus from Boquete to David, be sure to get off at El Seminario #2 bus stop as to not pass by their new location and to avoid unnecessary time delays and bus fares. You can usually catch the bus in front of the mini supermarket Mandarin, which is to the right and across the street from the Parque Municipal. Walk across the street and you will find La Jungla Experience with a hot pink bench out front of a red-roofed, A-frame house.
Tell your taxi driver that you will be getting off at "en frente del seminario" in Alto Boquete and you should be fine. But to help further, look for the hot pink bench out front the red-roofed, A-Frame Casa 4929 on the main David-Boquete Calle. You can expect to pay about 1 USD for the ride but always be sure to ask “cuanto cuesta” before getting in the cab!
