Nature lovers are more than welcome to attend this incredible retreat in France. This time is meant for yoga and nature enthusiasts who love yoga combined with nature walks and would like to explore the beautiful environment of southern France. Dutch biologist Marianne van Mierlo will guide you through amazing landscapes so you can feel what mother Earth unveiled in the Pyrenees. This will be a once in a lifetime adventure!
The price of this retreat includes 7 nights accommodation in La Borde Blanque's spacious and most charming private or double rooms with en suite or shared bathrooms.
The garden surrounding the house has big shady trees and a wide lawn, leading to the lake. The private lakeside consists of comfortable grass and is surrounded by trees, offering complete privacy. The water is clean and pure and delightful to swim in.
For all retreats in spring/summer or autumn season La Borde Blanque also has two beautiful camping sites available, with outdoor bathroom facilities, with a discount of 25% on the normal price.
In addition to two yoga and meditation sessions a day, La Borde Blanque will organize several lovely walks in a variety of surrounding landscapes of 10 to 15 kilometers in average. All walks will be organized and guided by Marianne van Mierlo, a Dutch biologist. You’ll begin and end the days with yoga and meditation, in which your connection with nature will be central.
No experience with yoga or meditation is required, but when you are experienced, there will be plenty of opportunity to deepen your knowledge. The sessions will be adjusted to meet your needs. La Borde Blanque is a Raja yoga school. Raja yoga is one of the oldest and most complete forms of yoga, where the asanas or physical practices are considered to be a preparation for meditation.
Although they offer various modern styles, their approach is a mindful way of practicing yoga. This means a quiet, attentive, and meditative approach. Remaining in an asana can sometimes be intense and powerful, yet they will also introduce dynamic flow series and be mindful in action! Everyone can participate at his or her level and there is plenty of room for personal variations and modifications.
In the mornings you’ll have breakfast and make your packed lunch and snacks for your tour. The walking program is flexible with shorter and longer walks that will be alternated according to the weather and temperature conditions. In the beginning or halfway the afternoon, you'll be back at La Borde Blanque and have the rest of the afternoon free.
When the weather is very warm, it may be decided together to get up early and be back before noon to enjoy a siesta and a refreshing swim in the lake. In the evening there's another light yoga and meditation session. Wednesday is a resting day as a break in the week. Please note that all walks and yoga sessions are just optional!

This retreat will take place in Midi-Pyrenees, France. The area has a long and moving history. Amongst other things, you will find prehistoric caves with carvings and stalactites and stalagmites. Apart from that, the Celts also left their traces, as well as the Romans with their thermal baths.
La Borde Blanque is an authentic French country estate situated on the crest of a hill with a magnificent view over the Pyrenees and surrounding countryside. The location offers various opportunities to be together as well as to withdraw for some private space, both indoors and outdoors.
It has a private lakeside beach on the beautiful Lac de Montbel and is on the other sides defined by forest and the river Hers. The property has a natural spring and bathes in the peace and serenity of the French countryside. You’ll find them on the border of the Aude and Ariège departments.

The unique environment of Borde Blanque offers a wide range of activities. During your free time, you can taste the culture of France during a visit to colorful local markets and make beautiful walks or horseback along the rivers, through the hills, forests, and mountains with stunning views. La Borde Blanque is directly situated on the lakeside with it’s private beach. In addition to swimming at our beach, on the other side of the lake, one can go like sailing, surfing, canoeing, waterbiking as well as fishing in the nearby area. The area has a long and moving history. You can visit Cathar castles or the mysterious chateaus where the Celts and Romans left their traces. You will also find prehistoric caves with carvings and stalactites and stalagmites.
