Kura Kura Yoga Retreat Bali is situated along a small river, a few steps away from the sea. It was originally built as a family house and in a way it still is. The family house was the starting place to build. The original rooms are old Java style houses and the new rooms are added in the same style. All rooms have an elegant simplicity with modern basic comforts that is common in the western world. Each room is decorated with love and care.
The heart of Kura Kura is the yoga shala or community space next to the small pool. Feel free to dip in whenever you like. Most rooms are built around the pool. Rooms are clean and fresh as the sea breeze, but protected and safe as the shield of a Kura Kura (turtle).
Each room is equipped with an ensuite bathroom with shower (warm and cold water) and western toilet, comfortable beds covered with fine mosquito nets, a fan, and veranda. Each room can be set up with two single or one double bed.
Being at Kura Kura means living close to nature with the rhythms of the sea and the music of birds singing in the coconut trees. You can hear the gamelan and mantras of the temple ceremonies near by. Coming at Kura Kura means moving away from the pressure of modern distractions. After leaving Kura Kura you have, like other guests say "an unforgettable experience to take with you for the rest of your life." Kura Kura is an intimate place to relax, enjoy, share, or learn.
When traveling alone, you can meet people and feel at home. Remember, most of Kura Kura's guest are singles. There's no need to feel lonely, except as you want to be alone of course.

Steve and Geri offer a fusion of yoga styles open to all levels and a great way to get deeper into the practice of yoga and meditation. Every class is an intuitive response to the energy and level of the students.
Their philosophy is very simple: Every body is different and every person requires individual attention and understanding. It specifically needs your attention and understanding.
Asana, breath awareness, meditation, and a break from habitual routine will center you and bring you back to balance and focus. Geri and Steve as teachers, guides, and instructors are just part of the environment that facilitates that process. They are about making good, feel better and feeling rather than imposing.
Morning classes are Hatha and Vinyasa based including guided relaxation and meditation. Evening classes will be more worship style focusing on specific skill sets like inversions, back bends, arm balancing, or you will just relax in Yin and Restorative postures. There will also be a deeply relaxing roll and release class, learning to use myofascial release balls to deeply relax around the body.
In between classes, you are free to swim in the river, walk in the valley rice fields, have one of your relaxing massages, and connect with yourself and fellow students.
During this retreat, you will be offered a nature day outing of your choice at the beach, river, or rice fields. You can go sun bathing and swimming at White Beach, white water rafting, or snorkeling in a coral bay.
