You will have a full immersion program that spans six weeks, living in a fascinating, vibrant community of about 70 yogis, travelers, and spiritual seekers on an eco-farm between Byron Bay and the Gold Coast. You will nourish your soul with Yoga Teacher Training that addresses the science of yoga holistically including postures and philosophy as well as Ayurveda, Kirtan, anatomy, physiology, nutrition, meditation, and mindfulness.

You will teach classes with real students while being guided and supported by a team of internationally experienced yoga teacher trainers. Also, you will be eligible to register with Yoga Alliance - Vinyasa Flow style - and gain hands-on business classes to run your own heart-centered yoga business.

The Krishna Village is a joyous, inspiring, energetic community of young and old spiritual seekers, travelers, and yogis. If you are coming with an open heart and mind, you will make many beautiful connections and experience life in a whole new way. Krishna Village Eco Yoga Community is here to provide a blueprint of what life can look like when you live it in a spiritually based, simple and yogic way.

To 'retreat', in their opinion does not have to mean to withdraw from people and be alone. It means to step away from life as you know it and immerse yourself in a different environment, lifestyle, and culture with the intention to learn, grow and broaden your comfort zone.

The Yoga Teacher Training is designed for a full immersion experience where you are living the complete yogic lifestyle which involves far more than just asana postures.

It includes practicing meditation and pranayama, understanding Ayurveda and nutrition, reading the classic texts of yogic masters, singing Kirtan, and doing Karma yoga work. All these practices are part of holistic yoga experience and will benefit and inspire not only you but also your future students.

As a trainee, you will be supported by the experienced staff all along and start by teaching a single posture alongside your trainer in a gentle early morning class. You will not be asked to do any teaching before you are deemed to be ready and all teaching is discussed and debriefed as a key part of your growth as a teacher.

There is plenty of practice before you get in front of a class and this process of slow, mentored instruction means that your confidence is right alongside you when you get to the teaching assessment tasks at the end of the course.

Krishna Village Eco Yoga Community’s Yoga Teacher Training is structured to give you the right balance of practical learning, Karma yoga, and physical activities, structured and self-study time and free time to explore the surrounds, head to the beach, or read a book in a hammock.

You will need to prepare for the assessment tasks needed to be a competent and safe yoga teacher which is factored into your daily schedule. There is one full day off a week (usually Saturdays) and Sundays are usually dedicated study days.

One of the many benefits of an immersion course like theirs is that you do not have to do relentless 12 hour days and then work remotely without a break - instead, you can work at a steady pace with plenty of time and space to absorb and integrate your learnings.

The Krishna Farm has been producing organic veggies since the 1980s and is well established to grow a variety of high-quality produce, free of chemical fertilizers and pesticides. Krishna Village Eco Yoga Community grows as much of their own food as they can and otherwise buy locally wherever possible.

Krishna Village Eco Yoga Community produces three delicious vegetarian meals every day at the temple kitchen, with food served at the prasadam hall at the top of the hill. Additionally, the village kitchen prepares a beautiful vegan lunch on all days except Saturday, when the volunteers take their day of rest, focusing on produce from the organic gardens and catering to gluten-free diets. This lunch is served in the village dining area.

All their food, whether served at the village or the temple, is prasadam - sacred food prepared in a consciousness of loving service. Like in other cultures, they offer their food before they eat to say Grace and thank the Divine for the sun, the rain, and all the visible and invisible blessings necessary to co-create a delicious meal. Feel free to sing along with them, or just listen and enjoy.
