The Kranti Yoga School Village is located in the heart of Patnem, Goa. It covers a 5000 square meters area, having access to both the beach and the roadside. The village comprises of two campuses: Moksha, meaning liberation or release, is the ocean view campus. Sattva, meaning purity or reality, is the garden side campus. These are located next to each other with Moksha situated right on the beach and Sattva directly behind it.

Beachfront bijou cottage

Sitting up high in the palm trees, these eight stunning beachfront bijou cottages are raised above the ocean shala and offer outstanding views of Patnem Beach. Although slightly smaller than the other beachfront accommodations, when choosing to stay in one of these cozy cottages, you will find yourself gazing directly at the beautiful waters of the Arabian Sea right from your bed from the first blink of the day.

With your own porch and swinging chair, private Western style bathroom, mosquito net, fan, and lockable drawers, these bijous offer great comfort and will make you feel right at home.

Beachfront cottage

Both of their 32 square meters beachfront cottages overlook the beautiful Patnem Beach and are just a few steps away from the ocean. Choose to fall asleep with the sound of crashing waves and a light sea breeze and enjoy Patnem’s fiery red sunsets from your private porch lazing in your hammock or swinging chair.

These luxurious cottages are purpose built for your comfort so that you can relax and focus on your learning and development. Equipped with Western style bathroom facilities, a double bed, lockable cupboards, a mosquito net, and fan for a pleasant sleep, this is your home away from home.

Garden four-share

These quadruple cottages are situated in the Sattva campus of Kranti Yoga and are a great option for students who are on a low budget but are still looking to experience a high-quality teacher training program. All dormitories come with two double-sized bunk beds and comfortable mattresses. Space to lock your valuables, mosquito nets, and a fan as well as (shared) Western style bathrooms make up some of the indoor features.

Tucked away in-between the lush greenery of the Sattva campus, this newly constructed tree house is a beautiful spot to find some quiet time and unwind. It is the perfect place to catch up on some homework and your readings or simply relax and enjoy your downtime.

Garden single cottage

The garden cottages are situated in the Sattva campus, the tranquil garden side of Kranti Yoga. Choose to fall asleep nestled amongst the lush greenery of cashew, coconut, and mango trees. A short 50-meters walk away from the Moksha campus and lovely Patnem beach, this relaxing garden accommodation offers the same comfort as the beachfront and ocean cottages. With Western style toilet and shower facilities as well as double beds with a mosquito net, fan, lockable drawers, a private porch with a hammock, and swinging chair you can make yourself feel right at home.

Garden twin share cottage

The garden twin share cottages are equipped with twin beds to give students the option to share accommodation whilst enjoying the same comfort and tranquillity offered by the single garden cottages.

Ocean single cottage

The ocean single cottages are situated in the Moksha campus, which is part of the beachfront area and only a few steps away from beautiful Patnem Beach. You can enjoy the daily ocean breeze from your private porch swaying in your hammock or kicking back in your swinging chair to catch up on your reading. All of the cottages are purpose built for your comfort and equipped with Western style bathroom facilities, a double bed with a mosquito net, fan, lockable cupboards, and a desk and chair for your study time.

Ocean twin share cottage

These cottages offer the same comfort as the single ocean cottages but are equipped with twin beds allowing students to share accommodation.


At Kranti Yoga School, they also have four yoga shalas, for you to practice yoga, share, experience, and grow as a yoga student.

Mantra Shala

A mantra is a sacred verse that is of spiritual value through repetition. Mantra is Kranti Yoga's flagship shala as it boasts magnificent views of Patnem Beach. Morning practice takes place here as you overlook the tranquil sea, shaded from the rising sun as the day is about to commence.

You may even be lucky enough to see dolphins as gaze over your fingertips in Virabhadrasana. Evening restorative sessions take place here as the sun sets over the Arabian Sea, picture postcard every day!

Ocean view Shala

Sitting alongside Patnem Beach, this is the smallest of the four shalas and is a great place for practice by yourself with amazing views of the Arabian Sea.

Tantra Shala

Tantra means technique. Tantra Shala is located in Sattva, the garden campus. You will shade from the midday heat as this is the only shala with a roof. All your workshops will take place here. It is also, where you will learn about the techniques used in Ashtanga and Vinyasa yoga.

All lectures are conducted here as the shala provides a classroom environment that is very much conducive to learning. The fans provide a breeze throughout the day, pillows and bolsters will keep you comfortable enough to listen intently to your teacher. The shala has a wall on one side which provides support for inversions and a whole host of back bending preparations.

Yantra Shala

Yantra is anything that has structure and organization. Yantra is Kranti Yoga's secret shala hidden away amongst the mangrove trees. You will need this space as you develop the structure of your own class to eventually teach as part of the YTTC. The space is small and intimate, ideal for first-time teachers who may be feeling a little nervous. The shala has fans to keep you cool during your practice and is fully equipped with everything you may need.


This course is suitable for students of all levels and has been designed to help you learn yoga while enjoying the comforts of a beach holiday. The course will be adapted to suit your ability and prior knowledge of Ashtanga and Vinyasa yoga.

The course will provide you with the fundamentals of Ashtanga and Vinyasa yoga. The course includes as well breath, bandhas, Vinyasa, and drishtis. Alignment classes will run alongside these classes for you to gain familiarity with the primary series. Technical workshops will take place in the afternoon for you to focus on key areas such as hip opening, back bending, and transition techniques.

This course would also be ideal for those of you who would like to develop a practice prior to yoga teacher training. It provides an insight into what Ashtanga yoga is and allows you to start developing a yoga practice if you haven't been practicing yoga previously. The course gives you a taste of what to expect from your yoga teacher training course (YTTC) and can be considered as a pre-teacher training.

Please note that a 90-minute session that may include alignment of primary series, workshops, or theory lessons will also be conducted daily. The time of this session will depend on what classes the student wants to attend and the timetable of the teacher. This session has some flexibility and can be tailored to the student's requirements and interests.

As a part of evening activities you will have a movie night once a week, where you will be shown yoga documentaries. Once a month, a full moon meditation or candlelight meditation session will also be offered.

Retreat location

This yoga training program will be conducted at Patnem Beach, Goa. The beach is lined with bars, restaurants, and beach hut accommodations. You will be served daily three vegetarian meals along with refreshments all day long. Kranti Yoga promotes a healthy diet and the food is freshly prepared for you daily. They want to ensure that you are giving your body what it needs to support your daily yoga practice, health, and well-being. They have an onsite organic Indian kitchen with wonderful cooks who will delight you with their specialties.

All your meals are served as a buffet with many options for you to choose from. The dining area is in Sattva campus, the hub of the village. Enjoy mealtimes here with your peers or maybe dine on your terrace should you want a little quiet time.

Kranti Yoga's kitchen is at your service and ready to accommodate all your dietary requirements, whatever they may be. They are strictly vegetarian and are more than willing to cater for vegans, lactose intolerant, gluten-free, and any other restriction and requirement. If you miss a meal, the cooks will always rustle something up for you. There is never a need to be hungry!

All the food is sourced locally and so the menu will consist of seasonal fruit and vegetables. Local produce is organically grown and bought on a daily basis. They also buy groceries from nearby stores in order to support the local economy.

A typical daily menu consists of fruit salads, porridge, curd and honey, pancakes, eggs, bhaji (curry), and soaked almonds for breakfast. Lunch has carrot and coriander soup, homemade bread, bean sprout salad with toasted paneer, dhal (lentil curry), rice, and fresh fruit for dessert.

Stuffed capsicum, fresh fruit, and juice are available as snacks. Dinner usually is made up of pea and mushroom masala, Goan vegetable curry, brown rice, steamed vegetables, chapattis, pasta, tomato and basil sauce, and a date and chocolate cake as dessert.

Chai, fresh fruit juice, and a range of teas are served throughout the day. They have a coffee machine for you to make your own fresh coffee and Ayurvedic teas to help balance your dosha. Fresh fruit and nuts are always available should you need some sustenance between meal times.

The food is prepared with ghee as it is believed to keep the body well maintained. Ghee not only helps digestion, it helps burn off some of the less desirable fat in the body. However, for those who may prefer a lighter alternative can be served like salads and other lighter foods.

At weekends, you will have time to try the local cuisine. Kranti Yoga enjoys a prime location on Patnem Beach, where you will find a range of restaurants serving a host of tasty and healthy choices.

Visit Palolem

If you are looking for some evening entertainment, you are not far away from the bright lights of Palolem. You can enjoy the late nights and social scene there, sometimes a welcome alternative to quietness and early nights of Patnem. Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Goa International Airport (GOI).

Arrival by bus

In case you want to save money or want to experience local Goan transport, you can catch a bus from KTC bus station in Margao directly to Patnem Beach. The ticket costs 25 INR per person.

Arrival by taxi

Goa International Airport (GOI) and train stations have pre-paid taxi counters. Once you have reached the airport or the railway station, you can take a taxi directly to Patnem Beach. The prices of these taxis are set and so you won’t need to bargain. The prices are 1500 INR from the airport and 700 INR from the railway station.

Arrival by train

You can reach Goa by train from Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kochin, Mysore, and Pune.
