This 2800 square foot family owned retreat, is a two-story home that has three bedrooms, two baths, a very open and large kitchen, and family and dining area. The yoga studio opens onto an outdoor area perfect for reflection and meditation. The library has a cozy daybed and can accommodate two for sleeping. The home includes all linens, blankets, deluxe coffee maker, cooking and utensils, and beach towels.
The private master suite features a Balinese hand carved four poster, a king bed with luxurious bedding including 500-thread count sheets, chenille blanket, and comfy pillows. It also has a cozy sitting area for reading or watching TV on the large flat screen. The bath in this bedroom includes a dual vanity, travertine floor, a walk-in custom travertine shower and a bay window with a bench seat that allows guests to lounge in serenity.
The second large bedroom accommodates two people and offers a flat screen TV, and for guests enjoyment, the second bath amenities including travertine floors, glass tile counters, dual vanity and a Jacuzzi tub and shower combo. The classes will be creative, balanced, and will incorporate pranayama (breathing), strengthening, stretching, detoxing, energizing, restorative, and meditation.
A native of Amsterdam, The Netherlands, Richard moved to Los Angeles in 1964 and has practiced yoga since 1975. He became a disciple of Paramahansa Yogananda, author of the yoga classic “Autobiography of a Yogi” & founder of the Self Realization Fellowship. Richard also spent 3 years in the Anada Yoga Community in Nevada City, California, where he studied Asana yoga. In 2005, Richard spent a month in India undergoing Pancha Karma, a yogic detoxification program.
