Accommodation at Waterbuck consists of an opulent master suite with an open-plan bathroom and a comfortable viewing lounge on the top floor. On the ground floor, on either side of the lounge and kitchen area, are two luxury suites. A detached luxury garden suite completes the accommodation for a maximum of 8 guests.
The suites all overlook the private gardens, swimming pool, and viewing deck perched over the dry river bed and the bush beyond. The villa is air-conditioned and each bathroom is equipped with Victorian baths, indoor showers, double sinks, and the downstairs suites also have outdoor showers. Each suite comes equipped with a flat-screen TV with satellite network, DVD player, telephone, safe, complimentary water bottles, and complimentary Wi-Fi.
Waterbuck Camp is luxuriously decorated in dark tones of antique wood and thatch, and space is filled with small relics representing the area’s history. Raised above a dry riverbed overlooking savanna plains, the outdoor living area features a sparkling pool, and a viewing deck complete with a fireplace and a generous dining area, the ideal spot to end off an eventful day in the bush.

Arrive at Waterbuck villa for a delicious buffet lunch. You will head out into the African bush for a safari, combined with a relaxing sunset yoga session with your private instructor to get the blood flowing after a day of travel. After the safari, you will return to the villa for a pre-dinner drink and canapés before sitting down to your evening meal on the viewing deck.
Morning bush walk with your private guide. After your walk, enjoy a yoga session in the bush followed by a continental bush breakfast served in the wild. Back at the villa, enjoy a 1-hour detoxing massage done by professional spa therapists. Late afternoon is lunchtime and then prepare for an exciting afternoon safari.
On returning from safari, enjoy a pre-dinner South African wine tasting before sitting down to some more delicious food served fine dining style in the dining room.
Head out for a morning safari and yoga session in the bush before returning to the villa for breakfast. After lunch, you will head out for a safari and return to the villa for a sunset yoga session followed by a cocktail or 2 before a traditional South African boma meal cooked on the open fire.
Before departing, wake up your body with a morning sunrise yoga flow the villa followed by a safari and arrive back at the villa for a breakfast on the deck.
Kings Camp is located in the northern corner of Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, adjacent to Kruger National Park. The Timbavati lies approximately 450 kilometers north-east of Johannesburg. The Timbavati Reserve area is located within both the Mpumalanga and Limpopo Provinces of South Africa. Today this great wilderness area is often referred to as the Greater Kruger Conservancy.
Kings Camp is located in a part of the reserve characterized by mopane woodlands, overlooking a waterhole frequented by a wide variety of wildlife. This Timbavati lodge was established in 1995 as a premier ecotourism destination. In 1992 the western boundary fence separating the Kruger National Park and the Timbavati was removed to create 2.2 million hectares open natural ecosystem that would enhance and promote natural ecological cycles.

The Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre is situated an hour and a half’s drive from Kings Camp at the base of the majestic North Eastern Lowveld Drakensberg. Moholoholo is a haven for the rehabilitation of abandoned, injured and poisoned wildlife including lion, rhino, leopard, servals, vultures, caracals, honey badger, eagles, and vultures. Tours are available at 9:3 a.m. and 3 p.m. except on Sundays. The tour lasts about two hours.
