Yoga Teacher Training in Mexico

This is a training for you to become a yoga facilitator in Hatha-Vinyasa and movement educator, is a yoga and movement science based training. You will learn the whys and hows about yoga postures and functional movement, and how to deconstruct a pose/movement/class to make it available to everybody. The aim is to give you the tools, so you can better understand how you move and give the tools to your students to move better in their body and in their life as part of a whole. Terra Yoga training seeks to train and inspire teachers that lead to live yoga from the sacred, through deep experience, knowledge and inquiring, to live and experience the innate connections that everyone has with the other beings and the self healing capacity of the Earth.

During the training you will be immerse in a place where you are working with nature conservation projects and permaculture and you will have the opportunity to learn about the principles of permaculture and how you can bring them into practice into daily life and yoga. You will be immerse in a family and community environment.

  • You will be doing volunteer job with the local community of the Biosphere. Our aim is to bridge the gap that a lot of teacher trainings have, we want to integrate ourselves into the communities where we are going to spend 23 days, as a way to honor and acknowledge their land and give back.
  • Note: 13% of what you are investing in your education is going to conservation projects to the protection of the cloud forests of México.

You will be sharing a beautiful cabaña with bunk beds with three other people, the bathrooms and showers are shared.

Program

General objectives

  • To know, explore and apply the fundamentals of functional anatomy, biotensegrity and movement principles in a fun and comfortable way in your own being in order to guide authentic, conscious and safe classes.
  • To facilitate accessible and creative classes, respecting the bio individuality of each being and learning to think outside the box of yoga.
  • To reawaken the ability of interception (to sense from within) and empower the student to recognize his/her own body knowledge and be able to take his/her own decisions about what works and what does not for his/her body.
  • Connect with the tools you need at this time for the transition to a state of radical well-being.
  • Understand and live the interdependence with nature that surrounds us and inhabit the earth from the sacred.
  • Live a transformative, deep and fun experience.

This training is intended to be a catalyst for your potential and help you find inspiration, shake off the lethargy, awaken the natural intelligence of life itself and rethink your view of the world and your being in it. Through experience and knowledge of traditions of the east, the west, indigenous wisdom and the recent scientific knowledge of the universe; the educational methodology alternates between communality and facilitation, motivating the person to think critically, awaken the creativity inherent to the human being, and be able to facilitate transformational experiences.

Retreat location

The accommodation is located in the beautiful Biosphere reserve of Los Tuxtlas, Veracruz, in the middle of a lagoon, where you can only access by boat. Rancho Los Amigos is a family project, local and homemade meals, and a permaculture and agro-ecology project.

Food

You will enjoy delicious home made and organic meals, some of the ingredients will come from the permaculture farm you will be staying at.

The food is mainly vegetarian/vegan/ovo-lacto vegetarian and organic, the cheese and the milk that is served is organic, coming from the cows that are in the farm.

Arrival by airplane

Book your flight to land in General Heriberto Jara International Airport (VER). Take a bus or taxi to the bus central in Veracruz City and take a Bus to Catemaco Central Station (Bus Line is ADO) where a member of KiekariTerra will pick you up.
