Program

Fitness

Each day of the retreat will combine total-body workouts and yoga classes led by the two instructors, Beth Roberts and Sallie Schullinger-Krause. Typically, your morning workout will be more intensive (interval training, cardio, and Power yoga) and your afternoon session will be lower impact (stretching, core, and Restorative flows). The daily classes are meant to challenge and motivate you while being accessible to all fitness levels and utilizing the natural environment as the gym!

Adventure

In addition to the daily workouts and yoga classes, you'll enjoy a variety of exciting activities! You'll explore Costa Rica from the treetops on an adrenaline-filled zip lining canopy tour on one day, and then you'll have an all-levels surf lesson on another day.

Towards the end of the trip, you'll go on an afternoon/sunset catamaran sailing cruise where you have the choice of relaxing on board with open bar or snorkeling in the ocean and watching for whales and dolphins. Prefer to stay back? No problem - all activities are optional!

Relaxation

In between activities and workouts will be plenty of free time to relax, reflect, or sign up for additional activities, massages, or excursions. The resort is right on the beach and has beautiful pools so free time is yours to cherish! And when you walk out of the hotel, you're in the middle of a small town with lots of shops and restaurants to explore.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Tuesday, December 8:

Welcome to Costa Rica! Guests will arrive at Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport (LIR) and take a provided shuttle to the resort, the Tamarindo Diria. You'll check-in and then meet for introductions and a welcome stretch at sunset. Tonight's included dinner will be at a delicious restaurant in town!

Day 2 - Wednesday, December 9:

This morning, you will kick things off with a beach boot camp followed by a nourishing breakfast overlooking the ocean waves. Then, you'll depart for a zip lining adventure through tree canopies (GoPros welcome!). Upon your return, you'll have a Restorative yoga class and then enjoy a free afternoon and evening to relax and enjoy.

Day 3 - Thursday, December 10:

You will start your morning with a yoga flow session and breakfast. Then, enjoy a free day to explore the surrounding town of Tamarindo, go on an adventure to another beach, or sign up for an additional activity like horseback riding. In the afternoon around 3:30 p.m., you'll come together for a core and myofascial release class and then will have time to relax a bit before sunset. Tonight is yours to try another delicious local restaurant or check out the excitement at the Thursday Night Market.

Day 4 - Friday, December 11:

You will have a high-intensity morning workout and breakfast. Then, you'll have some free time before heading down the beach for a surf lesson! All levels are welcome and encouraged to join the fun and ride the waves! The afternoon is free until you come together at 3:30 p.m. for a combo of Yin and hip opening in addition to a special activity with journaling and meditation. The evening is free with an option to go salsa dancing!

Day 5 - Saturday, December 12:

The two coaches will team-teach a boot camp and flow combo class in the morning followed by breakfast. You've got a few hours to relax or visit the local farmer's market and then you'll head down the beach to meet your catamaran for an afternoon sail! You'll ride out into the ocean, hopefully catching a glimpse of some whales or dolphins, and then you'll have time to jump in the water for snorkeling and swimming.

You'll have lunch provided on the boat as well as an open bar, and you will come back as the sun sets for a perfect view of the magic! Dinner will be included at a delicious restaurant.

Day 6 - Sunday, December 13:

On your final morning, you'll enjoy a 7 a.m. moving meditation (beach walk) followed by a stretch on the beach and a final breakfast overlooking the ocean. Everyone can say their goodbyes and depart for the airport.
