The objective of the seminar is to create new interior spaces by entering into a different rhythm, promoting the wellbeing of the body through the practice of Ashtanga yoga, a vegetarian diet, spending time in the open air, and meditation. Daily physical contact activity with nature and the practice of meditation will stimulate the secretion of endorphins, promoting personal equilibrium and renewal of energy.
During this retreat, you will be accommodated in Podere Isabella. All the activities take place in the barn, recently restored according to Feng Shui principals, with eco-friendly materials and alternative energy. On the first floor, there is an 80 square meters meditation room and on the ground floor, there is a 150 square meters shared open space and dorms with Wi-Fi connection.
Podere Isabella, a stone farmhouse built in 1900, has been carefully restored and decorated with the owner’s collection of contemporary art and travel memories and provides the ultimate bolthole for a relaxing and memorable holiday. Very comfortable with imaginative interiors, and king size divans to lounge outside, Podere Isabella is spacious.
Furnishings are a clever mix of smart rustic Italian with Indonesian and Oriental antiques, and throughout the owner used warm, earthy tones, in keeping with the colors of the countryside. Kilim rugs and teak chairs combine with Tuscan rich terracotta tiles, ochre wall paints and ceiling decorations inspired by XIV century monasteries. Guests love the warmth and character of the living rooms and bedrooms, not to mention the attractive kitchen, where Anna the cook can prepare great Tuscan meals for up to 30 guests.
During the residential program, the practice of Ashtanga yoga will be combined with Kalaripayattu, the ancient Indian martial art, and techniques of deep body listening followed by sessions of work on perception, listening, meditation, and walking in nature.
