KesmaItalia invites you to join in this experiential voyage to Kerala, to practice yoga and experience the traditional Indian culture. You will get a glimpse of the style of life of this country, seeking to approach it in an authentic and respectful manner. The voyage will also focus on rejuvenating your body, mind, and soul through the practice of Ashtanga yoga and Kalaripayattu (the oldest Indian martial art), Ayurveda treatment, traditional Keralan food, meditation, and chanting of mantras.
During this retreat, you will be staying at Kappil Paradise Beach Resort. It is a typical guest house on the sea in Kappil, a place that has retained its authenticity and is vastly different from the anonymous resorts of the cliffs. The guest house faces the sea and is about eight kilometers from the more touristy cliffs of Varkala.
This retreat is not a tourist package, but a yoga voyage to India in collaboration with Kesma, the Indian school of the Kalaripayattu master, Jayachandran Nair. KesmaItalia will accompany you on this journey, making the knowledge of the area and experience with the local environment available to you. The focus of the journey is yoga practice, but there will also be free time to visit local places, receive Ayurvedic massage, and relax in front of the sea.
Arrival in Paradise Beach Resort. Upon arrival, you are free to relax and familiarize yourself with the area.
Ashtanga and kalarippayattu workshop. The typical day will start with morning mantra songs and meditation, walking in nature, and a morning yoga session (Ashtanga Vinyasa). Afterwards, you will have brunch followed by free time from 10:30 a.m. to 5:00. p.m. In the evening, at 5:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m., you will have a Kalaripayattu (most ancient Indian martial arts) session with Indian master, Jayachandran Nair, or an Ashtanga yoga in depth class. You will end your day with a sunset meditation session.
End of workshop. After the morning practice, visit Varkala Ancient Temple.

This retreat will take place in Kappil, Kerala. It is the cradle of Ayurveda, the traditional medicine of India. You will have the possibility of experimenting with regenerative massage using hot, herb-infused oils in a traditional clinic. The seminar will take place in Kappil, a peaceful place on the sea, not far from the more touristy Varkala and the capital city Trivandrum.
