Rejuvenating Yoga Retreat in Portugal

The program will be full of healing activities, like yoga, detoxifying and beautifying body treatments and individual coaching sessions focused on health, nutrition and personal transformation. This program will allow for a deeper transformational experience through total withdrawal from everyday life. The longer duration of the retreat will also enable us to offer rejuvenating body treatments on alternating days, with days of rest in between in order for the body to absorb the full benefits of the treatments. As physical movement is one of the key ingredients for a healthy life, the retreat focuses on getting your body moving as much as possible.

Detox Yoga Retreat by Kaya Peters

Kayas classes find their basis in yoga and bodyweight based training, and work on building (core) strength, increasing flexibility, expanding breathing capacity, regenerating the inner organs and get energy to flow freely through the body, resulting in optimal feelings of health and wellbeing. The morning yoga sessions will include meditative, cleansing and breathing exercises, as well as active poses which work on improving fitness and stamina and increasing muscle tone. The afternoon sessions are either more exercise base or are used to do regenerative therapeutic sessions, depending on the day of practice and the intensity of the rest of the program.

    "I recently completed a 3-day yoga or meditation course with Kaya Peters at her beautiful retreat in the Algarve. My sessions were for 2 hours in the morning and about an hour in the afternoon. We also did plenty of walking in between sessions. It was very hard work but Kaya is a great teacher. She immediately picked up on my bad posture and continued to remind me every time I slouched the wrong way. I learned some wonderful breathing techniques and asked Kaya if we could concentrate on just a few postures that I could continue with by myself afterwards. I was surprised how quickly it became comfortable to sit on the floor cross-legged for 15 minutes of meditation. During my first morning session I found it quite difficult, but by the afternoon session it was already easier. I just can't believe how good I felt at the end of every day and especially after the 3-day course was complete. This was the uplifting experience I had been looking for. I felt cleansed, invigorated, and happy. Kaya had really listened to me when I told her what I wanted to get out of this course. The best news is that I completed this course five weeks ago and I have managed to do meditation and yoga at least every other day. In fact I rarely miss a day! Thank you Kaya!"

    "Hi Kaya, I have been back to Paris a few days and there are amazing changes happening! On my way back to Paris, an idea came to my mind, I want to try to be a part of a healing energy, I can live as a healing agent. First I think of healing myself. I felt that during the week, I came out of the big portion of dark energy of depression, I feel lighter doing yoga when I came back to Paris. Then I think I can start to be the agent of healing for my own family, I called my mom on Tuesday, I shared a story with her, and for the first time in a hundred years, my mom shared a story with me too: It was about a woman who got breast cancer level 3 in her 50s, she got a successful operation and she started to sing everyday, now she is in her 70s and she sings quite well. I am so happy that my mom and me talk like this and we support each other. Wednesday, I sent messages to my brother, I told him that I wish to have normal communication with my own brother while we are both living. I gave him my number of WeChat, and today, Thursday, he added me. In the message of the friend request, he wrote: I'm your brother. Kaya, I believe you can understand how important these changes are to me, how joyful I am to live these happening. I want to share with you, because I believe the yoga week with you and the group helped me, thank you, Kaya. I wish the best for you. I wish good luck to you and your yoga journey. big hug."

    "I had already noticed this young woman with her incredible charisma in the spring of 2011 in Portugal. I spoke to her and after an interesting conversation we exchanged email adresses. This is how it happened, that after some months had passed, I booked a private yoga retreat with her. Kaya lives in a place of peace in the middle of a natural parc in the beautiful Portuguese Algarve. She offered me a very professional yoga beginners course, which was tailored to my individual needs. I could not have wished for more!
