Retreat location

Noosa Heads is located at the top of the Sunshine Coast and is blessed with tropical temperatures, crystal clear water, white sandy coves and beaches, a stunning national park with a number of walking tracks to choose from, and cosmopolitan dining and shopping.

Noosa Outrigger Beach Resort where you will overnight during the retreat is conveniently located just an hour and a half’s drive away from Brisbane on the Bruce Highway. It is also a 20 to 30-minute drive from Noosa hinterland, a lush green patchwork of tranquil lakes, forests, and mountains networked by quaint country villages.

Spanning from Doonan, near Noosaville, through to the towns of Eumundi, Cooroy, Pomona, Kin Kin, and Cooran, the countryside that surrounds Noosa is filled with green rolling hills, alfresco cafes, galleries, luxurious day spas, cozy pubs, and boutique wineries and vineyards.

With stunning views at every turn, rare flora and fauna and lofty mountain lookout spots, bringing a picnic, a pair of binoculars, and a sturdy pair of walking boots is a must for a long day exploring. You should find everything you need in the shops close to the Noosa Resort.

A break at Noosa Outrigger Beach Resort also gives you easy access to all the Sunshine Coast’s most beautiful beaches. Whether you want to catch a wave, enjoy a peaceful picnic with the family, or simply laze on the sand and forget the world, here are four beaches you’re sure to love close to the Noosa holiday accommodation.

Noosa Main Beach

Located just a short distance from the luxury accommodation Noosa, this is one of the few beaches in the entire country that faces north. Ideal for those with young families, the waves here are gentle and the beach is fully patrolled 365 days a year. Thanks to the moderate waves, it’s one of the best places in the region for beginners to learn to surf.

Noosa Spit

The Spit is a favorite local picnic spot close to the Noosa holiday accommodation and another popular destination for novice surfers. Get out on the gentle waves or kick back and watch the river fishing boats coming and going on a hazy Noosa afternoon.

Noosa North Shore

Situated on the northern side of Noosa, this long, tucked away beach is famous for its striking colored sand cliffs. It’s a great place to fish, surf, and camp, and since you can drive right onto the beach, you’re free to bring as big a picnic as you want!

Sunshine Beach

Stretching 15 kilometers long, this beautiful beach is a must-visit for anyone who takes advantage of the great Noosa accommodation deals. The waves are much bigger here than on Main Beach, which makes it a favorite hang-out spot for some of the region’s best surfers. The houses near the beach are owned by some of the Sunshine Coast’s most rich and famous residents.
