The Ibis Styles Hobart hotel is an excellent value-focused option, bursting with color and style. With a central location, the hotel is a short walk from Hobart's famous waterfront and is Tasmania's largest hotel, spanning 296 rooms. Hobart accommodation comprises 10 floors, Asian cuisine, bar, heated indoor pool, two saunas, and a fitness center. Take a short stroll from Hobart hotel to Salamanca Markets and beautiful Hobart waterfront, while world-famous MONA is a 20-minute drive.
Their standard, superior, and deluxe rooms come with high-speed internet, coffee and tea facilities, and walk-in showers with a large rain-maker shower head. Time stands still and your cares will wash away from the moment you arrive at Freycinet Lodge. Overlooking the blue waters of Great Oyster Bay and with the rugged Hazards mountain range as your backdrop, the location of Freycinet Lodge's accommodation in Freycinet National Park is second to none. Located inside the Freycinet National Park, just past Coles Bay, you will fall in love with this captivating escape in Tasmania. The accommodation is secluded, stylish, and so comfortable; and their dining options will suit every palate.
All of their accommodation consists of rooms, cabins, and pavilions scattered throughout the beautiful wilderness of the national park. They have 70 rooms in total, some of which have water views and some have forest views. They are sensitive to the natural environment as they nestle in the native bushland. Freycinet Lodge is the only accommodation in Freycinet National Park and as such, please note all overnight guests require a valid Tasmanian national parks pass.
Check-in time is from 2:00 p.m. and check-out time is 10:00 a.m. or before. Late check-outs are subject to availability and must be organized at the time of booking. Telstra is the main network used across Tasmania and is the only one that works consistently in regional areas like Freycinet National Park. If you need a phone and your mobile is not working, please talk to them at reception and they can assist. Freycinet Lodge sits within the Freycinet National Park and therefore, no pets are allowed on-site at any time.
They offer complimentary Wi-Fi to all visitors in the main building. Simply ask at reception and they will be happy to provide you with the password. All rooms are equipped with a minibar that includes a selection of soft drinks, Tasmanian wines, beers, and snacks, a small fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, and a hairdryer in the en-suite bathroom. The lodge does not have a club lounge, gym, or swimming pool.
You will spend your first evening in Hobart getting to know new and old friends over a three-course dinner with paired wines at the award-winning Peacock and Jones Restaurant. Nestled on the waterfront in an old sandstone warehouse, this space has ambiance for days and a mouth-watering menu featuring local Tasmanian wine and produce. The senses really come alive on day two as you explore the iconic Salamanca Markets, a bustling showcase of Tasmania's culture, food, music, and art.
Flanked in sandstone buildings on Hobart's waterfront with over 300 stallholders, this place is a shoppers' paradise. You will find everything from fashion to food or simply stroll around and soak up the atmosphere. In the afternoon, you meander down the coast to Freycinet on Tasmania's east coast where you will be greeted with secluded azure water bays, white sandy beaches, granite peaks, and the sight and sound of 147 different bird species that call this paradise home.
Your home for the next few nights is just a few minutes past the township of Coles Bay and nestled inside the national park at Freycinet Lodge. Your secluded cabin in this grounded yet elegant accommodation awaits. Freycinet Lodge is home to the area's premier restaurant where you enjoy a three-course welcome dinner and daily buffet breakfast. Luckily for you, you are in the middle of one of the best cool climate wine regions in the world.
Day three will be spent tasting and feasting your way through four local wineries on a guided tour which includes a gourmet lunch from 11:30 a.m. till 4:00 p.m. Day four is an opportunity to explore the area your way. Take a hike through the national park, a kayak or boat cruise on the bay, or have a game of golf with a view.
Enjoy yoga throughout your stay at the lodge either on the deck overlooking the national park if weather permits or nestled inside. Your final evening will be spent at Freycinet Lodge enjoying a three-course meal and reflecting on an unforgettable adventure shared. On day five, you have one final breakfast together before heading back to Hobart to fly home.
During this tour, you will take part in a wine tour including lunch lasting in four to five hours.
Emily Spurling is the founder and principal yoga teacher in Karma Being's retreats. Her laid-back and inclusive approach resonates with first-time students and advanced yogis alike. Emily is also a certified health coach and Thai masseuse whose hands-on adjustments in class help you to slip into the perfect pose and a state of deep relaxation.
The tour will take place in Hobart and Coles Bay in Tasmania, Australia. Freycinet Lodge is two and a half hours drive from Hobart and two hours from Launceston.
Freycinet National Park was the first national park to be declared in Tasmania in 1916, along with Mount Field National Park. The area is rich in history and spectacular natural features that inspire awe from visitors far and wide. With the pink granite mountains of the Hazards and stunning white sand beaches, including Wineglass Bay, the Freycinet Peninsula offers world-class scenery and bushwalking.
There are one welcome three-course dinner with wine pairing at Peacock and Jones Restaurant on the Hobart Wharf and three buffet breakfasts, two three-course dinners, and one farewell dinner (three-course) at Freycinet Lodge included in the price.
