Described as a home away from home you can be assured that a very warm welcome awaits you at Hacienda Morna. Situated on a luxury estate on the beautiful island of Ibiza, Morna is rich with lush tropical gardens of fragrant fruit trees, an abundance of editable herbs and vegetables and is only minutes away from the charming local villages and several unspoiled beaches. Designed by the famous architect Blakstad, the comfortable and luxurious Finca offers the best in traditional design along with thoughtfully styled interiors and luxury furnishings. The 450sqm villa offers six lovely twin bedrooms. Four of these rooms have their own private entrance doors from the courtyard whilst the master bedroom suite benefits from direct access to a 40m2 fully furnished terrace with stunning sea views and a further private mezzanine chill out area. All the bedrooms have that tranquil country chic feel to them and the luxury beds, made with crisp white organic cotton bedding, are a delight to sleep in.

As a team of two, Radhika Yoga offers over 25 years of experience from years living in Vedic temples, studying under gurus and masters across the globe, and having synthesized these teachings for you in this very unique program. You will be nurtured in finding your own unique voice as a teacher and will be given much grounded knowledge in all aspects of yoga, as well as ongoing support on your journey.

Eligibility criteria

Students must have at least six months of regular yoga practice or similar fitness background. But most importantly, the requirements are more about the dedication to learn new things and commitment to improve the practice. All students are welcome with an open mind and ready to transform and grow their yoga practice on and off the mat.

Graduation and certification

A final practical and written exam must be completed prior to certification. Upon graduation, students will be given a Yoga Alliance certificate from Radhika Yoga stating that they have completed the requirements and are now certified yoga teachers. You will graduate with a powerful understanding of deeper knowledge pertaining to the spiritual aspects of yoga and existence as well as being very confident and competent teaching the styles of Ashtanga Ainyasa, creative and popular power flows, and Yin yoga, making you a teacher in demand.

The physical and energetic practice

The Ashtanga Vinyasa (series one) sequence is the strong foundational practice six mornings per week, with inversion transitions as a means to access deeper experience and understanding of breath and alignment. Sundays and time allocated during daily workshops have a focus on mindful, intelligent and intuitive sequencing for gentle and power flow classes. Strength and inversion classes are six afternoons per week to compliment the foundation of the morning practice and to give you more expertise and understanding of dimensions within the physical and energetic practice. Every evening except Sunday Yin yoga is taught, and as well as being restorative for mind and body, will give you insight into the healing and therapeutic aspects of this internally based practice.

Bliss of breath and Traditional Pranayama

A highlight of this program is the emphasis on tapping into transcendent states of being via strong breath work rooted in tantra. Traditional heating, cooling and balancing pranayamas are interwoven to deepen your experiential knowledge and ability to teach many varying pranayama techniques and their effects.

Illumination through Philosophical understanding

During this portion of the course you will experience many revolutionary concepts and insights pertaining to the nature of reality and existence. Highlighted is views on karma, Kala, Guna, Dhama, Darshan, Anarthas, Samskara and the different Yogas based on Bhagavad Gita and SRIMAD Bhagavatam. The Historical Philosophical evolution of India is taught as well as an overview of different philosophical traditions and schools focusing on the Bhakti Vedanta tradition as well as the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali with focus on the eight limbs of Ashtanga Yoga.

Meditation

You will learn how energetics can enhance the meditation experience and how to access this optimum space via a focus on breath (ujayi), and sound (mantra), to assist the experience of transcending limiting thought patterns, beliefs, and habits. You will also learn the theoretic principles underlying these techniques.

Mantra

Six evenings per week are dedicated to guiding your understanding of and ability to share the Ashtanga invocation as well as many mantras that protect, heal, uplift and assist one to evolve through vikarmas / negative karmas. Sometimes classical Indian instruments will accompany which can enhance an uplifted experience.

Methodology

These daily classes are a fusion of key elements pertaining to yogic lifestyle and teaching, which include key principles to self mastery, yoga energetics, nature of mind, a deeper look at teaching skills, dualistic nature of reality, dimensions within the Ashtanga lineage, yogic diet, yoga versus physical culture and more..

Yoga Anatomy

These classes offer basic understanding of anatomical structures and systems with a focus on a detailed anatomy of breathing as well as insight into Ayurveda, and the energetical layers / koshas, all revolving on how this knowledge relates to yoga practice.

Asana and teaching workshops

Two hours a day are dedicated to adjustments, alignment and teaching skills. With much hands on and practical experience through demonstrations and interactive workshops you will be able to correctly identify and correct misalignment in body and breath. Through the work shopping of teaching parts you will learn how to harness your most powerful voice as a teacher and source of healing in this world.

Yogic Business and marketing

These classes offer information that gives a broader insight into the traditional and commercial yoga industry, marketing yourself as a teacher and assists to help identify your unique role in this field.

    Radhika's teachings draw from a 20-year background exploring yoga lineages, studying and teaching in India extensively. Her predominant style is dynamic vinyasa based on Ashtanga vinyasa with a focus on optimum breath and mindful alignment. Her students attest her expertise in catering to individual levels and needs. She has held positions as the leading yoga therapist for NZ's Olympic athletes and the Australian Federal police and her work has been used in the prominent Yoga Woman film and other advertising campaigns.

    Govinda Dev Is a true world citizen born in Perú, educated in Germany, but raised in the Indian Gaudiya Vaishnava tradition. He travels the world teaching and inspiring by sharing his vast experience and insight into how the world can gain from the timeless knowledge available in the Vedas. His main passion since his early childhood has been the arcana process of temple worship at which he excelled in his years as a monk.
